Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire - Beast of Winter takes place on a frosty island inhabited by worshipers of the sinister god Rymrgand, who herald the imminent end of the world due to the advent of the Ice Age. The seer (the main character) is asked by the aforementioned deity for help in dealing with a powerful dragon who has discovered a way to cheat death.
Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire - Beast of Winter gives players a new territory, as well as a series of main missions and side missions that have been prepared with high-level heroes in mind. In addition to the aforementioned island, the DLC also allows you to visit a parallel dimension - a kind of purgatory - in which souls and their memories revolve around. The expansion gives you the opportunity to face a variety of new challenges and learn about previously unknown facts from the history of Eora's world (e.g. it reveals interesting details about the Holy War). There are also powerful artifacts to obtain, moreover, in Beast of Winter you can add a new companion to the party - the priest Vatnir serving Rymrgand, who belongs to the divine race.
