Hot Tuna started life as a set-breaking acoustic showcase by the members of Jefferson Airplane intended to contrast with the band's infamous psychedelic rock explorations. Long before the days of MTV Unplugged, these impromptu performances would feature guitarist Jorma Kaukonen and bassist Jack Casady rockin' through ragtime blues standards and Tuna originals, true to the free spirit of the music's very roots.Jesse Block's concert documentary, 25 Years & Runnin' celebrates Hot Tuna's dedication to their influences and musical traditions.
