Aggelos is a side-scroll production of the metroidvania type , enriched with elements taken from action RPGs , developed by the independent studio Storybird Games. The title was inspired by classics from the sixteen-bit era (with the Wonder Boy series at the fore), it was released on the PC, PS4 etc. platform, among others.
Story
Aggelos takes us on a journey to the fantastic kingdom of Lumen, attacked by aggressive creatures from another dimension. During the game, we play the role of a hero who faces the invaders. In order to deal with the threat, the hero must travel the land and find artifacts with which he will be able to send the adversaries back to where they came from.
Gameplay
through forests, sea coasts, dark underground and ancient temples, fighting the enemies we encounter ; the latter include both rank-and-file adversaries, which are not a problem to defeat, as well as oversized bosses (such as dragons, giant bears or giant birds) more resistant to damage and launching powerful attacks. Our protégé in clashes can use various swords as well as magical abilities , combining attacks in spectacular and deadly combinations. In the course of the struggle, the protagonist gains new abilities and equipment, thanks to which he can not only face more and more challenges over time, but also gain access to blocked locations. In addition to story missions , there are a number of side missions to complete here, commissioned by the inhabitants of Lumen.
