Captain Sabertooth’s performances and music have been a part of children's lives since the character was created in 1989. Since then countless theatrical performances have been staged, mainly in Kjuttaviga in Kristiansand Zoo. Cartoons, movies, CDs and DVDs with content from the pirate world of Captain Sabertooth have also been produced. This Young Band arrangement is a good choice to showcase the horn-section of the band. The clarinet-parts in the beginning of the piece may be omitted if the band not require doublings of the brass parts.

Composers Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez have once again written music for Disneys sequel film Frozen II after great success in 2013 with Frozen. Many will probably remember Let it Go which became a big hit from this movie. The new movie continue to follow the main character Elsa, who sings her amazing musical number “Into the Únknown” in Frozen II. The song describes Elsa's inner conflict of choice to leave Arendelle or trace the source of a mysterious voice she continues to hear. The song is originally sung by Idina Menzel and the Norwegian artist Aurora and has elements and motifs inspired by Scandinavian herding calls. As always, the music is both magnificent and captivating and will surely be a hit for many years to come.

From Both Sides Now : Instrumental Solo with Band

“From Both Sides Now”, written in 1967, is one of the most famous songs by Canadian singer/songwriter Joni Mitchell. A novel by Saul Bellow, “Henderson the Rain King”, was her inspiration to write the song. She has recorded the song twice: first in 1969 on the album “Clouds” and again in 2000 on the album “Both Sides Now”. The latest recording feature a more orchestrated, jazz-inspired version of the song. This arrangement is written in “quasi-tango” style. There are three solo-options included: Bb-Inatruments, Eb-Instruments and C-Instruments (Bass Clef).

Henry Purcell (1658 – 1695) is generally considered as one of the greatest English composers. He incorporated Italian and French stylistic elements into his compositions and made uniquely English baroque music. He has a rich production as composer, with works for orchestra, church, scene – and vocal. In 1692, three years before his dead, he composed music to «The Fairy Queen», who is a masque or semi – opera who is a revised version of William Shakespeare’s wedding comedy «A Midsummer Night’s Dream». This arrangement of Symphony is the overture to act number four.

This arrangement feature an Alto Saxophone player and a euphonium / baritone / trombone player. If you should choose to use the soloist parts from the Brass band version for Flugelhorn and Euphonium, please use both parts, because some of the phrases has been changed. Please be aware of thedynamics between soloists and accompaniment. Adjust the dynamics according to the musicians in the ensemble.
