And can the true message of Christmas still be understood millions of light years from Earth?Plot summaryFollowing the opening song (Out Of This World) we join four mechanics making final adjustments to a super hi-tech intergalactic spaceship! They discuss the mission, the hiccups and set-backs that have delayed the launch, and wonder how the astronauts will cope being many light-years from home so close to Christmas. The mission controllers then call for the launch site to be cleared as the four astronauts enter and prepare to board. They are slightly concerned that they may not be back in time for turkey and trimmings, but are assured that the mission will run smoothly (song - Back On Earth For Christmas Day).After a supersonic lift-off the ship speeds through the Earth's atmosphere and into deep space. Once Mission Control has informed them that they're on course, the astronauts relax and enjoy a space-walk outside, where they dance with the beautiful array of stars that light their way. (song - Starry Night)It soon becomes clear to Mission Control and the crew that all is not well. They lose control of the ship, which hurtles towards an unknown planet! Having miraculously survived the crash-landing, the astronauts activate the on-board robots to assess the ship's damage and explore outside (dance - Robot Dance). Once they are given the all-clear the astronauts leave the ship, but soon get the feeling they are being watched! When they bump into the fearsome alien inhabitants of what they learn is the planet Zork, they're pretty sure their numbers are up! (song - Song Of The Zorkonians)However, once the Zorkonians are satisfied that their visitors have come in peace, they welcome them, keen to find out all about them. The Astronauts explain about the crash and how, sadly, it seems unlikely they will back to Earth for Christmas. (song - The Place We Call Home)Of course, the word 'Christmas' means nothing on Zork, so it's up to the astronauts to demonstrate just what a wonderful thing it is, and why they are so desperate not to miss it! (song - Christmas Ditty). Having heard about Santa Claus, carol singing, crackers, family meals and all the ways in which Christmas is celebrated, the Zorkonians are impressed, but want to know why such celebrations happen. The astronauts go on to explain the true meaning of Christmas (Nativity tableau and song - Carol Medley).Convinced that Christmas is something not to be missed the alien hosts agree to help. With the astronauts ship beyond repair the Zorkonians offer them Zork's one and only space craft, as a Christmas present! When asked how they can ever be repaid for their kindness, the Zorkonians request just one thing in return... to be allowed to travel back with the astronauts to enjoy Christmas on Earth! And who can blame them?With a rousing reprise of the song 'Out Of This World' it's time to show the Zorkonians just what all the fuss is about!

Each goddess offers him a fabulous reward if he chooses in her favour (song - Pick Me, Paris), but it is Aphrodite's promise to give him the most beautiful mortal woman, Helen of Sparta, which clinches it. Furious at this, Hera and Athene vow to bring destruction on Paris' home city of Troy.Paris arrives as a guest at the court of Menelaus, king of Sparta, and immediately falls for his beautiful wife, Helen. It works, and as Achilles excitedly gets ready for a romantic liaison Paris shoots an arrow into his vulnerable heel. The Greeks are overcome with grief at the death of their top man (song - Always And Forever), and revenge is swift. Philoctetes slays Paris in a duel, releasing Helen from her trance-induced love, and with her help secret plans are made for the Greeks' invasion of Troy.The Trojans are curious as to what the hammering sounds are in the Greeks' camp (song - Chop-Chop, Brother), and surprised to see their enemy's fleet of ships sailing away from the shores of Troy. On discovering a huge wooden horse which is left, they believe, as a gift from their fleeing foes, they rejoice in their supposed victory and bring it into the city. As night falls, the heroes emerge from the belly of the horse and massacre the entire Trojan population in its sleep! Finally victorious (song - Job Done) they return with Helen to Greece, finishing the tale with a resounding reprise of the song Troy Story.

He gives them the opportunity to send items on board his trading ship, bound for far-off lands, and the chance to make a good profit. Alice suggests that Dick sends Puss, and reluctantly he agrees. His life in the house soon becomes miserable again, so he decides to run away, but doesn't get very far before he hears the chiming bells of Bow Church. They seem to be telling him to turn back, promising he will one day be Lord Mayor of London! (song - Turn Again, Whittington).Meanwhile, in a distant country, the captain of Mr Fitzwarren' ship is attending a banquet given by the king and queen. (song - She Loves To Shop) Suddenly the palace is swamped by rats and mice, which eat all the food in seconds flat! When the king explains that this happens at every mealtime, the captain tells him he has something in his cargo which might help. At the next hurriedly-arranged banquet, nobody is quite sure what the strange creature is that the captain has brought with him, but they are thrilled to see it deal so effectively with the rats and mice that turn up expecting another easy meal! The elders vote on whether or not to welcome the humans, but with the vote tied it rests with Snowy to decide their fate. Snowy consults the forest goddess, Natura, and is told to take a journey of discovery to the city before making a decision, to find out more about human behaviour. Leaving the future of the forest in the balance, Snowy, and fellow elder and friend Chip, embark on their adventure.As they set off, they experience first hand the plight of the forest's trees, and learn how man's actions have had a devastating effect (song - It Doesn't Pay To Be A Tree). But they also learn how human behaviour can change to reverse this effect. Next, the pair stumble upon the revolting, yet comical rats, Itchy and Scabs, who inhabit the landfill site. They witness the waste created by humans, and how this provides a 'paradise' for the roguish rodents! (song - Welcome To Our Paradise.)Next it's on to the supermarket, where Snowy and Chip meet some rather jet-lagged food items, who explain the environmental impact of their being flown thousands of miles just to satisfy human tastes for exotic and un-seasonal produce (song - What's The Deal?). Having learned what can and should be done to improve this situation, Snowy and Chip then encounter rush hour in the city (song - Driving Song)! They meet a very pushy car salesman, only to be 'rescued' by the brilliant Professor Plantpot who, along with some 'green' friends, explains that many humans do care about the planet, and are changing their behaviour accordingly.Snowy and Chip learn how, with a little thought and effort, humans can reduce global warming, save energy, and create less waste (song - Switch It Off). The professor also demonstrates the limitless possibilities of recycling (song - R.E.C.Y.C.L.E.), unveiling Robbie - a robot made entirely from junk!With their new friends in tow, Snowy and Chip are in a race against time to get back to the forest, which has now fallen under the control of Weezil! Will the humans and their bulldozers be welcomed with open arms? Will forest life ever be the same again? That remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure, with the final song (Make A Change Today) still ringing in their ears, your audience will feel uplifted, inspired, and above all... thoroughly entertained!

As the friends scarper with the money, Mary and Joseph discover there is no room at the inn, and the baby has to be born in a stable. (song ? A Baby Is Born Tonight)Back at their stall, about to pack up for the second time, Rebecca notices a bright light on the hillside. This is followed by the arrival of an excited group of shepherds, whom the three friends think have come to do some late-night shopping! However, to their disappointment, the shepherds tell them of a wondrous visit they?ve had by a host of angels, who?ve told them to come to Bethlehem (song ? Hurry Down The Hillside) to find a baby born in a stable. Guessing which stable they mean, the friends offer to lead the shepherds to it?for a price! The shepherds decline the offer, choosing instead to follow the star that the angels said would show them the way.About to pack up again, the stall-holders then notice three very distinguished-looking gentlemen, who look like they have a bit of money to spend! However, they are disappointed to hear that these visitors have also come looking for the baby (song ? Follow A Star), and not to part with their cash! Neither will they be taking up Jacob, Rebecca and Samuel?s ?kind? offer to lead them to the stable for a small fee, and they leave!Curious as to why all these people are so keen to visit this baby, the friends decide to go and see for themselves.
