So again we are dealing with a TPP action game in which we play the role of the evil Lord of Darkness to take control of a fictional world maintained in the fantasy convention. The producer of the game is the company Triumph Studios, which is responsible for this series and is also responsible, for example, for the Age of Wonders strategy .StoryThe action of the game is quite similar to the original. We play the role of a new antihero who begins his dark career path - our goal is, of course, to become a powerful and terrifying ruler who would be respected by everyone. There is only one small thing on the way to supremacy for our evil ward - a great empire, modeled on the Roman Empire, whose leaders also want to take control of the world and, additionally, try to eradicate all symptoms of magic. So we must conquer individual kingdoms and eliminate the resistance of this human competition.GameplayOf course, the key to victory are our subordinates (minions), because the game is based on an interesting structure - we move our hero directly, but we can also summon subordinates over whom we have practically total control. The authors have refined this element, thanks to which the hordes of our minions are smarter (although they have never sinned with great intelligence) and more deadly - this time they can participate in fights on a much larger scale, even creating something like various military formations (like Roman legionnaires). In this part, our subordinates can also ruin and destroy various elements of the environment, operate war machines and sail, or finally ride various animals (e.g. wolves), becoming a unit of dark cavalry.

Rise of the Argonauts is an action RPG game developed by the development studio Liquid Entertainment (creators of The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Ring and the Battle Realms series). This item refers to Greek myths, and its main character is Jason (known in Poland as Jason) - a hero, son of Ajzon, king Jolkos. Inspired by the myth of the Golden Fleece search, the game presents its alternative story, supplemented by the creators with new threads. While Jason is getting ready for the wedding, his sweetheart is unexpectedly murdered by a mysterious assassin. During a visit to the temple, the protagonist discovers that there is a chance to bring it back to life - however, he must find the aforementioned Golden Fleece. Accompanied by many other heroes known from Greek mythology, Jason sets out on board his Argo to search. As you can imagine, this is a long and dangerous journey. The ship itself is a very important element of the game, as its territory has been divided into islands (there are 15 in total) between which we move. The ship changes as the hero grows - for example, the initially empty cargo hold of the ship fills up over time. After a few adventures, a priest can also live on board, so you don't have to make long journeys to the temple. We observe the game from the perspective of a third person, and we set out on trips in the company of two other heroes to whom we can give simple commands. Among them are Heracles and Atalanta. The fights take place in real time, and during duels with warriors and mythical monsters, we use both melee weapons and magic. No less important than the skirmishes are also numerous dialogues and collecting artifacts that bring us closer to the desired goal, which is to get the Golden Fleece. Jason's adventures are closely watched by four gods: Ares, Apollo, Athena and Hermes. Depending on whether they like our actions or not, they can help us (eg Apollo will make our hero faster) or play small tricks (Hermes will cause a storm that will make it difficult to travel on the ship). Rise of the Argonauts uses the Unreal Engine 3 graphics engine. Both the character models and all locations have been developed with great attention to detail. The game also has a multiplayer mode (only co-op) - both over the network and with one computer / console.
