Von der Renaissance zum Ragtime
The combination of Flute and Guitar is becoming increasingly popular among music school pupils and concert performers. This publication, From Renaissance To Ragtime, expands the fairly narrow repertoire forthis combination of instruments to include arrangements of famous compositions, such as variations on the famous English Renaissance song Greensleeves, famous melodies by Johann Sebastian Bach (Air,Siciliana, Badinerie), the popular Minuet by Luigi Boccherini, Chopin's virtuoso Variations on a Theme of Rossini, and Scott Joplin's popular ragtime tune TheEntertainer(familiar from the film The Sting).
