The CHO lamps are the result of a study of shapes that arise when you put pressure on an oval piece of paper. A sheet with two curved pressings that are carefully squeezed into a slim metal frame. Like a wing that carries itself flexibly between two pylons, it unfolds into a poetic shade that invites creative interpretation and changes expression depending on the angle of view. "Cho" means butterfly in Japanese, reflecting the shape envisioned by the designers. The lightness of the lampshade meets the solidity of the steel base, where white meets black in a harmonious contrast.
