Common Beech Hedge Fagus sylvatica Pack of 50 Bare Roots 90/120cm

Lavender Hidcote Hedging

Lavender Hidcote Hedging

Seen in some of the swankiest gardens across the country, Lavender 'Hidcote' is the classic, hardy English Lavender, and will transform your garden with colour and incredible fragrance! The silvery grey foliage and pure purple blooms are packed with a heady scent and will provide you a colourful spectacle from early to mid-summer. 'Hidcote' is one of the most aromatic varieties, grown widely in the fragrance market, yet is a great garden variety too. The purple flowers are also a magnet to bees, butterflies, and other beneficial creatures, which will have your garden buzzing with wildlife.Growing up to 60cm tall, a hedge of traditional English lavender can be used in many ways. Try planting it around beds, borders, or paths, to divide up parts of your garden or to make an eye-catching parterre or knot garden space plants 30cm apart. Once established, a lavender hedge is extremely drought tolerant. Keep it in great shape by pruning twice a year; trim lightly in mid to late summer, removing spent flower heads. Prune again in early spring, removing about 2.5cm of growth. You can even cut the stems to make fragrant indoor dried displays!Fully deserving its coveted RHS Award of Garden Merit, you can be sure this is a proven garden performer, guaranteed to be suitable for UK gardeners at every level of experience. You can therefore plant this in the garden with confidence, for stunning displays for many years to come. This variety has even been recommended by the RHS as 'Plants for Pollinators'.Supplied as a collection of 25 established plants in 9cm pots, ready to plant.

Tree Fern Dicksonia antarctica log

Tree Fern Dicksonia antarctica log

Tree ferns were a firm plant hunter's favourite from Victorian times, a symbol of wealth and travel experiences to Australia. They have maintained this sense of mystique ever since. Now you too can grow these surprisingly easy exotic plants too. Harvested under strict License from woodland clearance in Australia and Tasmania, these astonishing plants really will delight and amaze. They grow under the woodland canopy, in the shade, so grow them here in a sheltered spot too. These '2 foot' (60cm) logs are at least 25 years old, and have been cut back and harvested dormant. When you water them via the top crown, they will soon burst back into life, like it's the new rainy season! Because they grow in leaf canopies, most of their food comes from leaves falling into their giant shuttlecock like fronds, funnelling the goodness into the growing crown. Feed and water this crown - rainwater is best if you can collect it.Supplied dormant, with fronds that unfurl with time. Some may take up to two months for notable growth, but trust us, the wait will certainly be worth it! It's amazing when they come how quickly they grow. The plant is hardy down to -5C in winter, although the fronds will die back. Cutting these off when they die back is what creates the new trunk, which slowly inches up over many, many years. Keep the crown protected in winter with a layer of straw or horticultural fleece to keep cold and wet out. When you get it home, plant it in a big pot, or in the garden soil. It takes almost 2 years to root in, so do not be alarmed by this slow growing beauty.

1600w 38cm Rotary Lawnmower

1200w Electric Rotary Lawnmower

Bay Tree Standard

Bay Tree Standard

A herb garden staple, Bay Trees have been gracing our kitchen gardens for years. Evergreen standard with aromatic leaves that bring a mouthwatering depth and rich aroma to everything from soups, stews, and curries to Bolognese and roasted meats.Bays are often grown in pots and respond well to topiary training with lush, glossy and dense foliage. They require little more than a light trim in early spring and summer to maintain a desired shape and will happily grow in sun or partial shade in well-drained soil. They're also well suited to coastal locations. For ease, pluck leaves fresh from the plant and add them whole to a pot, before leaving to infuse the cooking. Fresh leaves boast a lighter, more floral flavour than dried leaves and can be kept in the fridge. If dried, they have a more intense flavour. They should be removed before serving unless they're ground or chopped.Fully deserving its coveted RHS Award of Garden Merit, you can be sure that this is a proven garden performer, guaranteed to be suitable for UK gardeners at every level of experience. You can therefore plant this in the garden with confidence, to be enjoyed for many years to come. It is also recommended as a 'Plant for Pollinators', attracting bees and butterflies with its small lime green spring flowers.Supplied as an established standard, 180cm tall, 50-60cm diameter, in a 15L pot, ready to plant. Please note: Delivery may take up to 14 days for this product. The approximate listed height of this variety and dimensions of the supplied nursery pot are subject to change on delivery, depending on seasonal conditions.A delivery surcharge applies to this product as it is supplied in an XL Parcel.
