Note 1. Please read this manual carefully before use. 2. Use 75% density medical alcohol to clean the surface of the machine. Use a dry cloth with a small amount of alcohol to prevent alcohol from penetrating into the device. What is PI? PI refers to the perfusion index (PI). The PI value reflects the pulsating blood flow and reflects the blood's perfusion ability. The greater the pulsatile blood flow, the larger the pulsatile component, and the larger the PI value. Therefore, the measurement site (skin, nails, bones, etc.) and the patient's own perfusion (arterial blood flow) will affect the PI value. Because sympathetic nerves affect heart rate and arterial blood pressure (affecting pulse arterial blood flow), the human neuroregulatory system or mental state also indirectly affects PI values. Therefore, the PI value will be different under different anesthesia conditions. Whats included: 1 x Oximeter (does not include batteries) 1 x Carry case 1 x Lanyard 1 x Instructions

Medical Forehead and Body Temperature Infrared Thermometer

Medical Forehead and Body Temperature Infrared Thermometer

The Medical Forehead and Body Temperature Infrared Thermometer is a non-contact, IR thermometer compliant with a range of medical standards, please see the 'Technical Specifications' for further details. It can be purchased with or without calibration. The Medical Forehead and Body Temperature Infrared Thermometer with a calibration means it will be checked to ensure that it is working correctly and within its accuracy specifications. The resultant calibration certificate provides proof of this check and reassures the user that the  Medical Forehead and Body Temperature Infrared Thermometer can be relied upon to take repeatable temperature readings within its specified accuracy range.  The Medical Forehead and Body Temperature Infrared Thermometer is designed to measure forehead/body temperature and surface/ object temperature. It can be used to identify persons with EBT (Elevated Body Temperature). This is often a sign of fever which is a symptom of many illnesses including the recent COVID-19 coronavirus. Persons with suspected EBT may need to undergo further virus/infection-specific medical screening. The  Medical Forehead and Body Temperature Infrared Thermometer can be used to streamline medical testing and can be used alongside medical procedures to help prevent the potential spread of infection. When set to Surface mode, the  Medical Forehead and Body Temperature Infrared Thermometer has a temperature range of 0°C to 100°C; however, when set to Forehead/ Body mode, the thermometer has a temperature range of 32°C to 43°C and is able to measure skin temperatures to the following accuracies: 35.5°C to 42°C: ±0.2°C 32.0°C to 35.4°C and 42.1°C to 43°C: ±0.3°C Measurements are displayed to a resolution of 0.1°C on the  Medical Forehead and Body Temperature Infrared Thermometer’s backlit display. The user can choose to view temperatures in °C or °F.  When set to Body/ Forehead mode, the colour of the  Medical Forehead and Body Temperature Infrared Thermometer's backlit display will change depending on the measured temperature:  32.0°C to 37.4°C = green 37.5°C to 37.9°C = orange 38.0°C to 43.0°C = red This allows the user to quickly evaluate whether the person being screened is likely to have a fever. Please note that this feature is disabled when the  Medical Forehead and Body Temperature Infrared Thermometer is set to Surface mode. The individual being screened should stand between 3cm and 5cm away from the IR thermometer. Additionally, the  Medical Forehead and Body Temperature Infrared Thermometer includes a user-settable Temperature Alarm function with an audible alert and a configurable Temperature Difference function.  Furthermore, temperatures are automatically saved to the Medical Forehead and Body Temperature Infrared Thermometer's memory.  The Medical Forehead and Body Temperature Infrared Thermometer provides a safe, easy and efficient method of ascertaining an individual’s body and forehead temperature. Fingertip OLED Pulse Oximeter

Fingertip OLED Pulse Oximeter

A finger tip pulse oximeter that is an ideal and simple way to measure your pulse and the blood oxygen. It is non-invasive, portable and easy to use. As a simple tester it is used in professional medical or home environments. Each fingertip pulse oximeter requires 2 x AAA batteries that are not included. Concept. This type of fingertip pulse oximeter is now commonly used in medical practices and hospitals. Now increasingly people are using these devices in sport and home use as a quick and simple test of blood oxygen SPO2 and pulse rate PR. The device is turned on by pressing the white button and placed on the finger tip or toe. The full colour OLED screen will within a few seconds start to register the Pulse Rate and Blood Oxygen content. The display can be orientated whilst in use by pressing the white button making the screen very easy to see and use. Fingertip Pulse Oximeter Features. Two colour OLED large screen. Figure and Chart Oxygen Volume readout Figure Pulse Rate readout Chart Plethysmogram readout Manually adjustable display orientation Audible low level alarm Low power consumption (more than 20 hours) Low voltage indicator Auto off after 8 second of no rereading. Small and lightweight Wrist strap included A menu function to set alarms and sounds Purpose and uses. The purpose of a fingertip pulse oximetry is fundamentally to check how efficiently your heart is pumping oxygen through your body. As such it is used to measure your health and is particularly useful for people with any illness that can affect blood oxygen levels. For example: COPD, asthma, pneumonia, heart defects, flu and viral infections, chest infections. In clinical environments the device is used as a guide to help evaluate if a person needs help with breathing, if a ventilator is required or to monitor how effective oxygen therapy is working. It is not a replacement for a vital signs monitor but is often used in conjunction with a stethoscope. Interpreting the readings of the fingertip pulse oximeter. Whilst being a simple and relatively cheap device, the fingertip pulse oximeter is also reasonably accurate. Typically the results will be within 2%. This fingertip pulse oximeter is rated to give accuracy between +-1% in the range 90% to 99% SPO2 and +-1 beat per minute heart rate. In general, more than 89% of your blood should be carrying oxygen. This is what your body and the cells within your body need to stay healthy. Having a oxygen reading below 89% temporarily is not believed to cause damage if it is consistently at or below this level it is important to seek medical advice. Normal is considered to be at or above 95% for most healthy people. If the reading is consistently below 95% this is an indication of a deficiency of oxygen reaching the body cells and below 92% is considered to be hypoxemia. It is important to seek medical advice from your GP if your reading is consistently below 95%.
