The Thelocactus has a solidary stem that can reach 8-10cm across and 20cm tall. This cactus has a green body, and it produces red coloured spines first as new growth that later turn into coppery colours or white. This plant has an outstanding flower... pinkie purple in colour and up to 10cm across with a red centre. The plant comes from the Chihuahuan desert of Texas and Mexico.
