Game series Street Fighter and Tekken are competing with each other since the mid-90s of the last century. After years of struggling for the primacy of the best virtual fight, their creators decided to approach the matter in an original way, borrowing, on the basis of reciprocity, well-known characters. In the case of Capcom, this resulted in the idea of Street Fighter X Tekken .
Gameplay
Street Fighter X Tekken is hardly a completely separate installment of the Street Fighter series . In fact, the game is based on the solutions known from Street Fighter IV and Super Street Fighter IV . The main novelty are, of course, the heroes known from the Tekken series . In addition to characters such as Ryu and Chun-li, there appear, among others, Kazuya Mishima or Nina Williams. The introduction of additional heroes had a number of consequences. First of all, the characters from the Tekken series required adaptation to the stylistic convention and a different gameplay style (with a different button layout). They remained three-dimensional, but thanks to the cel-shading technology they gained a more comic character. Street Fighter X Tekken also refers to such titles as Marvel vs Capcom or Tekken Tag Tournament , i.e. tag fights.
The essence of the game here is the appropriate manipulation of two characters and the alternate use of their abilities. Each player can, for example, perform two-person special attacks and "juggl" the opponent (toss up) to a greater extent. The authors added a few new solutions to it - including the possibility of using Pandora's power, which significantly increases the strength of the character, but has serious consequences.
