Genesis Noir is an adventure game in climatic monochrome that takes place before and after the Big Bang, in which we play the role of a character who wants to save his beloved and to do so must prevent the all-encompassing expansion of the universe. The game was created by the Feral Cat Den studio, funded thanks to the Kickstarter campaign and has won many awards.
The action of the game is set at the beginning of the cosmos, where we play the role of a hero called No Man - a door-to-door watch seller trying to prevent the death of his beloved - a goddess named Miss Mass (Miss Mass). She is supposed to die, killed by a bullet fired by a jealous Golden Boy.
The creators play with the ambiguity of the term "Big Bang", presenting it literally as a shot from a gun. The player must enter the expanding universe caused by this shot and destroy the missile heading towards Miss Mass - the planet Earth.
Genesis Noir is an art game that focuses on exploring and influencing the environment. The game world is a mix of 3D and 2D graphics, viewed from different perspectives, which often change and flow smoothly between each other. The world presented in Genesis Noir consists of nebulae, fractals, asteroid fields, black holes and ... jazz cafes. We will get to know aliens and immerse ourselves in both microscopic and gigantic worlds full of unique interactions. The gameplay revolves around their exploration. Thanks to the point-and-click mechanics, the player has the opportunity to interact widely with the environment, as well as observe the consequences of his actions so far. Thanks to this, they can not only express themselves, but also get to know the story written into a series of chapters. Before us is planting seeds in a private garden, terraforming land, creating (and also destroying) stars, taking part in jazz duos - all in order to find clues necessary to solve puzzles and, consequently, reverse the trajectory of the projectile that leads to a tragedy.
