Micro Machines: World Series is another part of the cult series of arcade racing games, developed by the Codemasters Software team. The series was born in 1991, and since 2006, when Micro Machines V4 went on sale, it has not appeared on personal computers or consoles. Nevertheless, the success of his mobile spin-off ultimately convinced the creators of a big comeback. This is how the production discussed here was born, which was released, among others, on the PC, PS4 and XONE platforms.
Just like in the legendary original, in Micro Machines: World Series we take control of remotely controlled car models. We have 12 different vehicles at our disposal, including space for exotic racing cars and trucks that wreak real havoc on the track. Individual machines are equipped with a diverse arsenal - we are talking about rocket launchers, grenade launchers, flamethrowers, or even machine guns.
Attention is drawn to unusual locations in which we have to fight for a place on the podium. The races take place on pool tables, in sheds, on backyard sidewalks, and finally on the kitchen table known from the original, which is full of obstacles in the form of cups, cutlery, plates and food scraps. Interestingly, the key to victory is the elimination of other opponents, as well as getting acquainted with the individual routes - these are diversified by numerous obstacles like spilled oil, which can be used to turn the tide of the race.
In Micro Machines: World Series on PC, PS4 and XONE platforms, we can play virtual competitions both alone and in the company of other players. In addition to classic races, other variants of the game await you to test, including combat in a closed arena in Battle Mode, or popular modes such as King of the Hill or Capture the Flag. It is worth mentioning that in multiplayer you can play not only over the network (twelve players can participate in the struggle at the same time), but also on a split screen, competing with up to three people.
