Cryptomeria Japonica Globosa Nana (Japanese Cedar) – Ball

Cryptomeria Japonica Globosa Nana (Japanese Cedar) – Ball

A perfect low maintenance topiary ball from clipped Cryptomeria Japonica Globosa Nana Japanese Red Cedar. Available in a range of sizes from 20-80 cm in diameter. Japanese Red Cedar is a very pretty evergreen shrub. It has bright green foliage that has a tint of yellow when young, before maturing to green with a tint of purple in the winter. Similar in appearance to some of GardenPlantOnline's many topiary plants, the Japanese Red Cedar actually requires much less maintenance because of its slow growth-speed and it is also better suited to the British climate. All conifers are known for their hardiness and resilience against the elements. We often think of them being heavily covered with snow during the winter, but they can look equally as bold and impressive against a bright blue summer sky. Conifers get their name from the "cones" that they produce – which come in all shapes and sizes. Conifer leaves are evergreen and will either be needle-shaped or scale-like. Golden Firethorn (Pyracantha Soleil D'OR Yellow Berries) - Climbing

Golden Firethorn (Pyracantha Soleil D'OR Yellow Berries) - Climbing

Awash with sunny yellow berries, this hedging plant provides much needed colour in the autumn and winter. Firethorns produce berries of different "fiery" colours – red, orange and yellow, with these Golden Sun Firethorn bearing bright yellow fruits. This is a traditional climbing plant, but it can still be used for hedging if planted next to a wall, fence or trellis. We recommend adding lots of moist compost to the soil at the time of planting to give the plant the strength it needs to quickly spread and grow. All of our Hedging Plants allow you to style your garden in a range of different ways, not just because of their varied colours, but also because of the way you choose to trim and maintain them. Prune them regularly to achieve a neat, clean form, or let them bush-out a little to create a more natural appearance. Whether you're using a hedge to give your garden some privacy, or as protection from the weather, road and noise pollution, you'll want to choose a plant that complements the rest of your garden's visual appearance. All of our Hedging Plants have evergreen foliage – giving you some pleasant greenery to look at all-year-round. Buxus Microphylla Faulkner (Box Faulkner) - Shrub

Buxus Microphylla Faulkner (Box Faulkner) - Shrub

A low-growing and compact evergreen shrub which is a popular choice for making hedge mazes. Box Faulkner has shiny green and yellow leaves that have a leathery texture and a pleasing "fresh" aroma. Its dense foliage makes it ideal for shaping into topiary or manicured hedges. Alternatively, because it only reaches heights of between 100cm – 150cm at maturity, it is popular as a "low maintenance" choice that can be left to its own devices. Despite its small size, Box Faulkner is very a tough plant and it shows good resilience towards the harsh British weather. All of our Hedging Plants allow you to style your garden in a range of different ways, not just because of their varied colours, but also because of the way you choose to trim and maintain them. Prune them regularly to achieve a neat, clean form, or let them bush-out a little to create a more natural appearance.
