Chronic exposure to Chlorine can result in the exacerbation & even the development of Asthma in previously healthy individuals.Residual Chlorine has strong oxidizing properties which can cause proteins to bond. The skin layer is oxidized, decreasing it's ability to hold on to water. Both of our shower water filters help to prevent dry, itchy skin and scalp by reducing the impurities found in water. It also helps prevent chlorine damage to hair texture and helps colour-treated hair retain the colour longer. Depending on your water source, you may notice the odour of chlorine and/or sulphur in your shower water.Both of our shower filters reduce this odour for a fresh shower. The patented filter media used in the filtered shower head also reduces the build-up of scale.* Your shower filter contains 4 spray settings so you can enjoy the shower of your choice. Clear, filtered water leaves you refreshed and cleaner than ever! Finerfilters Slim Design Inline Shower Water Filter Slimline design makes it easy to install – especially on shower units where space may be a problem. It simply screws directly onto your shower, between the shower unit and the shower hose. Each end is threaded and compatible with most standard shower fittings. PTFE tape and O-Rings are supplied to prevent any leaks. This filter CAN be refilled and replaced. Minimum pressure requirement - 1BAR / 15PSI This cartridge contains 8 stages: 1. Stainless steel mesh - blocks large suspended solids.2. PP cotton - filters rust & sediment.3. Activated carbon - adsorbs free chlorine from the water4. KDF 55 - removes heavy metals through a redox reaction which binds them to it.5. Calcium sulfite - more efficiently removes chlorine at higher temperatures.6. Activated carbon - adsorbs free chlorine from the water.7. Ceramic balls - remineralises & ionises the water8. PP cotton - filters any remaining large particles without removing minerals. Made in a high-quality chrome finish and with multiple spray settings, this shower head is not only effective, but also stylish and looks amazing in your bathroom. The Paragon Hand-held shower head water filter utilises KDF55, a high purity copper-zinc alloy (water gold), & the patented Media 41. The KDF Media is developed and produced by the famous American KDFFT company.This product has been tested to and passed the certification of NSF Standard 53 for Health Effects & NSF Standard 42 for Drinking Water Treatment Units – Aesthetic Effects, WQA, etc. in the United States. It utilizes the redox reaction of copper and zinc in water to filter out residual chlorine, water-soluble heavy metals, soften the water (reduces limescale build-up) and inhibits bacterial growth.
