Ideal for a variety of creative endeavours including design work, illustration, fine art or arts & craft applications, Magic Color Acrylic Ink is a multipurpose, water-based, easy-to-use medium renowned for it's versatility, making it suitable for everyone including newcomers, hobbyists & professionals.
With a full colour range of 24 individual tones, the 8 colours included in this introductory set have been selected to take full advantage of your first experience with the range, as they provide an almost limitless number of colour mixing opportunities.
Each 28ml ink can be used directly from the bottle (with an included pipette for additional accuracy) or diluted for further effects. Once dry, they're permanent, lightfast & water-resistant, allowing them to be over-painted in order to achieve various tonal effects without the risk of colours running.
Through this combination of pigments & the lack of shellac, they can even be applied using the finest of instruments such as artist's brushes, technical pens, drawing pens & airbrushes without the fear of clogging or damage.
Watercolour
Being water-based, Magic Color lends itself perfectly to traditional watercolour effects, retaining vibrant colour even when diluted. Washes laid down with Magic Color (whether flat or graded), have a tonal subtlety & purity far superior to other products that provides complete control in the most fundamental of watercolour techniques.
Airbrushing
Originally developed with this technique in mind, Magic Color lacks any of the aggressive chemicals that could potentially damage your airbrush. The additional pipette built into each lid makes application of colour to the airbrush easy. The opaque colours can be used with most nozzle sizes, however for very fine detail work, it's best to add some form of dilutant.
Wet in Wet
Magic Color excels through Wet in Wet applications as the unpredictability of the technique adds to further atmospheric effects. Perfect for landscapes & skies, after a little practice results will look wonderfully natural.
