1 cm elastic band? You're welcome!When it comes to elastic bands, there are several things to consider. One of them is how wide you want the elastic to be. Another is how thick it is. Your project and purpose will determine which elastic you should choose. This elastic band is a flat with a width of ten millimetres. It is still considered a narrow elastic band, but with the extra millimetres you also get an elastic band that has a little more. For example, use the elastic in the drawstring at the bottom of the sleeves or to finish off baby and children's trousers so that the trouser legs stay in place while your child tumbles and plays.  This elastic is crocheted, made of polyester/rubber, washable at 40° and do not tumble dry.

Cotton satin white

Cotton satin - the best of both worldsHow about trying our soft cotton fabric in a range of beautiful colours for your next creative project. It's soft and comfortable to work with.Satin refers to the way the fabric is woven. This means that when we say cotton satin, it has the same beautiful weave as more 'classic' satin, while the cotton quality gives a more matt finish to the fabric.  And what can you use cotton satin for? Well, that’s entirely up to you. We prefer using it for bed linen. The natural material of the cotton in the delicate satin weave makes for some really lovely home made bed linen. As with so many other cottons, it is also suitable for clothing. Cotton is comfortable to wear and the fine weave gives it a nice finish - for a summer shirt or skirt, for example. Cotton satin is also perfect for a tablecloth for the table. Sew the tablecloth yourself or select "Sew as a tablecloth" and we will sew it for you (click on the text for details). Practical information about cotton satinMade from 100% cotton, it's soft and fluffy and, as always, you buy the fabric by the metre, so you get exactly the length you need. The fabric is 145 cm wide, has a weight of 130 grams and shrinks about 8% in the wash. You can wash it at 60° and iron at medium heat - but avoid the tumble dryer; let it air dry instead. TIP: Finish your seams properly - satin tends to fray a lot. You could also consider using a wider seam allowance to secure your seams or use overlock stitching. As always - test your seams on a scrap piece beforehand to see which technique works best for your piece of fabric. Organic french terry, 100% cotton, white, brushed

This ORGANIC French terry is brushed on the wrong side. It is made of 100 % organic cotton. French terry is ideal for making casual garments, such as sweatshirts, jogging pants, sweat dresses, etc. We recommend that you wash your fabric before cutting, as you can expect French terry to shrink. To avoid running short of fabric for your sewing project, check the fabric shrinkage percentage before you buy it.

Bridal satin - the heavy satinIt's in the name: here you have a wonderful, elegant satin in an extra heavyweight quality that provides great volume and a really elegant drape. The fabric is perfect for the dresses of the bride, bridesmaids and confirmands - but can of course be used for other projects too. Practical information about this satinThe heavy satin - 195 g/m2 - gives the best drape without feeling heavy or bulky. You buy the fabric by the metre, so you get exactly the length you need. It measures 145 cm wide and is made from 100% polyester. Wash it at 40°, make sure it dries hanging and iron on a low heat. TIP: Pay attention to the direction of the thread when laying out your pattern pieces. Your project usually needs to follow the direction of the thread to get the right look. And once you've started the pattern, use fine pins to hold it in place - it will glide easily on the shiny surface.
