The most flexible satinDresses, jackets, shirts, tops and skirts - you can sew pretty much anything you want with this stretch satin fabric.   It's the classic satin weave with elastane added, so you get a more matte surface and a more flexible material with greater freedom of movement than the classic satin weaves. Choose from a wide range of beautiful colours and get crafty for your next festive occasion. A little more about this satinThe fabric is made of polyester/elastane, measures 135 cm in width and can be washed at 40° - remember to let it air dry hanging and iron only at low heat. It shrinks approx. 1% in the wash. TIP: Sharp scissors are a must when working with satin. The fabric can be difficult to cut because it's slippery and also offers a lot of resistance. Use a good quality pair of fabric scissors or, if you want to make it even easier, a sharp roller knife/roller cutter. Search "9 tips for sewing satin" for more tips. What is satin? Satin refers to the way the fabric is woven, where one side of the material is smooth and shiny. For this satin you will need stretch needles.

Fleece is not just fleeceWith micro fleece you have the very fine fleece quality. The one where the structure is soft, dense and smooth. It opens up a range of exciting DIY possibilities from clothing to home decor. What should I use micro fleece for?With micro fleece, you can dial down the classic fleece look without having to compromise on all of the familiar qualities: the fabric is still soft, lightweight and stretchy. It insulates well and has been given an anti-pilling treatment meaning that it's virtually lint-free. Furthermore it's tough and dries quickly. Use the fabric for a comfy fleece jacket or vest, for example, where the heat-insulating effect really comes in handy on cold days. Or make a cool loungewear set in your favourite colour. You can also use micro fleece in furnishings for blankets (where you don't even need to sew on a border) and cushions. Please remember to use jersey needles (item no. 46799 or 46028) when sewing in fleece. Practical information about fleeceThe fabric is 145 cm wide and you buy it by the metre, so you get the length you need. You can wash this fleece at 40° and tumble dry at low heat. Be aware that it shrinks about 3% in the wash, so it's a good idea to wash the fabric before starting your project.

You take wool fibres and press them together, forming a dense and durable material, either by wet or dry felting. If you choose the wet felting method, you work with the wool by folding, pressing, and rubbing it. If you choose the dry felting method, you'll need a needle with small hooks that attach the fibres together as you repeatedly poke and pull them through the material. You'll need some tools. The most important are a good felting needle and felting pad. As you poke the wool, the material becomes firmer, and you can gradually create patterns, figures, jewellery, and decorations.
