Check out these finger paints for children and the young-at-heart – we have so many reasons to love them! This textile paint is water-based and contains no hazardous chemicals. We offer ten lovely, bright colours that your children can mix to create their favourite shades. The wide-necked jar gives easy access to small hands. Children tend to find the texture agreable. Alternatively, you can pour the paint onto a plate or into a bowl, allowing you more control. The paint is of an excellent quality; a small amount goes a long way. Use this finger paint on both light or dark fabrics, ideally cotton containing no more than 20% synthetic fibres. After use, leave your project to dry for a minimum of six hours, before heat-fixing it with an iron. Cover your project, i.e. with a tea towel or another cloth, to protect it during fixation. The finger paints are suitable for children as young as two years of age.

Or are you in the process of designing your confirmation dress but need the perfect blank fabric to bring your design to life? Party satin - or duchess satin - is a great choice: Its bright colours and elegant drape give you plenty of options for creating festive dresses, shirts, tops, bow ties, vests and trouser suits.   And if you want it all to match, you can also sew a small clutch to go with it. A little more about this satinMade from 100% polyester, this satin has a nice drape and the classic satin look in a variety of colours. The fabric is 145 cm wide, has a weight of 150 grams and shrinks about 1% in the wash. You can machine wash it at 40° - remember that it should always be hang-dried and only ironed at low heat. TIP: Avoid water and water-based markers - they can leave small stains (same goes for hand cream!). Instead, use tailor's chalk to make markings. Always make a test on a small piece first, then draw on the back. And - while we're on the subject of water - never use steam on satin as it can leave water stains and the high temperature from the steam can change the lustre of the fabric. For this satin you will need microtex needles.

In this fabric, we combine the two qualities, giving you a light and soft material with good breathability and comfortable stretch.  Colourful designs Whether you prefer black and white, earthy tones or vibrant colours – you'll find the entire colour palette in this fabric. Choose one or more favourites, get out your sewing machine, and sew your new outfit.  The material is suitable for almost all types of clothing, but of course, we have some favourites.  One of them is the classic top. Once you've found the right fit, you can easily change its look by simply choosing a new colour. Or how about making small adjustments in the design, so you have your favourite top with short, ¾, and long sleeves?  The fabric is suitable for much more than classic tops! Use it for dresses, leggings, trousers, and skirts. The fabric measures 145 cm in width and shrinks by 6% when washed.  When working with jersey, we recommend using a jersey needle, characterised by having a medium point – also known as ball point. It is a tough material that is suitable for clothing and DIY projects for the home. Using baby velvet for children's clothes - and much moreThe narrow ridges look great on children's clothes, where they really stand out. Whether it's used for trousers, jumpers, a spencer or a small suit - it's entirely up to your designs and preferences. Whatever you choose, you'll always get a great result.But baby velvet is also great for home sewing projects - from cushions to decorations and doorstops. It's a great look and fits in well with Scandinavian style. Velvet is sold by the metre, so simply order the length you need. The width is 140 cm and the fabric shrinks about 6% in the wash.Please remember to use the right needles - we recommend a size 80 universal needle. What is Wales?Wales indicates the width of the raised ridges in the velvet that defines the velvety texture of the fabric. A low Wales indicates wide ridges i.e. less ridges per inch. On the other hand, a high Wales indicates narrow ridges.
