Hand stitch over it in straight lines in different directions until a nice pattern has formed. You can also use mending yarn for more seamless and less visible repairs, but the look of visible mending is fantastic. Mucki fabrics finger paint black 150ml

Check out these finger paints for children and the young-at-heart – we have so many reasons to love them! This textile paint is water-based and contains no hazardous chemicals. We offer ten lovely, bright colours that your children can mix to create their favourite shades. The wide-necked jar gives easy access to small hands. Children tend to find the texture agreable. Alternatively, you can pour the paint onto a plate or into a bowl, allowing you more control. The paint is of an excellent quality; a small amount goes a long way. Use this finger paint on both light or dark fabrics, ideally cotton containing no more than 20% synthetic fibres. After use, leave your project to dry for a minimum of six hours, before heat-fixing it with an iron. Cover your project, i.e. with a tea towel or another cloth, to protect it during fixation. Also available: Small starter kits of MUCKI finger paint, containing a number of basic colours, glitters, and metallic colours. The finger paints are suitable for children as young as two years of age.

50 mm elastic - perfect for the waistbandSometimes a wide elastic is just the best for your new project. A wider elastic sits well at the waist and you can, for example, focus on the waist piece and let it play an active role in your design. It can be difficult to decide which elastic is right for your project. For some, it's a matter of trial and error - for others, there's plenty of inspiration to be found both here and elsewhere online. Or when you study the clothes you already love to wear. More information about the elastic bandThis 50 mm wide elastic is great for the drawstring in the waistband of your trousers and skirts. We love it for our yoga pants, for example: the elastic makes sure they stay in place no matter what exercise we do (even when we're just walking around the house on a Saturday watering flowers). This elastic is made from a mix of polyester and rubber; it is crocheted and relatively firm in quality. It can be washed at 40° and cannot be tumble dried. 

Javana batik dye black 70g

Create your unique textiles with batik dying. Batik textile dyes are best used on cotton, viscose, linen, half panama, silk, wool, or polyamide. The screw-cap container contains 70 g of dye powder. Take what you need, mix it in accordance with the instructions, and save the rest for later. The more pigment you add, the stronger your colours become. Use 70 g of dye powder per 200g of fabric for strong colouration. Use 70 grs of poweder per 400 g of fabric for a less intense colouration. This batik textile dye paint is suitable for various dyeing techniques, e.g. tie-dye and dip-dye. Always wash the fabric before starting to paint. Fill a bucket or tub with very hot water (95°C), enough to cover your fabric. Add your dye and stir until completely dissolved. Then immerse the damp fabric in the colour bath. NB: Make sure that the dye is completely dissolved before you add the fabric. If not, the results will be spotty or uneven. Leave the fabric to soak for no more than one hour . Rinse your fabric with hot water. Batik dyes do not tolerate high temperatures. Wash your dyed fabric at max 40°C. Wash separately the first time. NB: To enhance the colours and prevent them for wearing off, we recommend you use our Javana fixing agent. Without fixing agent, the dyes will soon wash out.

Organic 1x1 rib cotton, black

It's a natural material that lets your skin breathe, and it's comfortable to work with when you're sewing. Find your favourites among the many different colours - mix and match, or go all in on your favourite colour. You buy the fabric by the metre, so you can get just the length you need. Rib is a good choice for your sewing projectRib fabric in 1x1 is a soft piece of fabric knitted with a fine and uniform structure that makes it perfect for a wide variety of DIY projects. Use it for tops, t-shirts and leggings for both children and adults. The quality is unmistakable - it's soft and just the right amount of stretch to make cotton great to work with and wear. The FabricThe rib fabric is knitted and made of 97% organic cotton and 3% elastane. It is 145 cm wide and you should expect it to shrink approximately 6% in the wash. We recommend that you wash the fabric before starting to pattern, cut and sew to ensure the best result matching the right size. Please remember to use jersey needles (item no. 46799 or 46028) when sewing in rib fabric. OrganicThe products labelled organic consist of minimum 95% organic material. Thereby, they meet the highest international standards for organic farming, environmental protection and social responsibility. This means that jersey is incredibly versatile for everyday clothing designs for both adults and children. The many colours offer a plethora of options: Sew your favourite styles in multiple colours or mix different colours in one design – the choice is yours! Unleash Your Imagination When discussing cotton jersey, you can't ignore the classic designs: The simple top with short or long sleeves and the popular leggings for children and adults; the material is simply perfect for these classics. But you can also let your imagination run wild and experiment with the fabric for skirts and dresses or exciting new trousers and tops. Regardless of what you choose, cotton jersey is a versatile and soft material – and a clear favourite among children and adults. A Bit About the Practicalities This fabric is made of 92% organic cotton and 8% elastane. It has a width of 150 cm, and of course, you decide the length you wish to order. When working with jersey, we recommend using a jersey needle, characterised by its medium point – also known as ball point. The needle easily penetrates the knitted quality and prevents stitches and threads from running. For this type of jersey, we recommend jersey needles in size 70/80. Partly Organic Products with this label contain a minimum of 25% organic content. For example, fabrics with organic cotton mixed with other fibres. We've introduced this label to make it easier for you to identify the proportion of organic material.
