RGT5 Rooftop Operative Training
Course: This full day is aimed at operatives, managers, supervisors and safety advisors that work or manage the way work at height on roofs is undertaken, taking an indepth look at the working at height regulations 2005 and guidance for work on roofs. Course objectives: This specialized course will identify the hidden dangers to working on and around flat and pitched roofs and common lack of anchorage.
A detailed view of suitable commercially available portable man safe systems, edge protection and its safe instalment.
The characteristics of fall protection equipment and the benefits of fall restraint over fall arrest. Candidates will be assessed during the practical session using associated roof access equipment such as temporary and permanent fall protection systems, adjustable restraint, positioning equipment and permanent and temporary anchorage points. Who will benefit? Anyone involved in working on flat or inclined roofs.
