Supplied in pairs, the Repose Boots have been designed to drastically reduce pressure on the heels making them ideal for patients who are bed-bound. The boots are made from a breathable material that allows water vapour to escape, to ensure the perfect fit and tailored compression a small pump is provided which inflates the boots. The heel itself is supported at the sides by air filled sacs, with a hollow immediately beneath it, so it is exposed to no pressure at all. A significant proportion of pressure ulcers occur on the heels due to a combination of pressure and friction/shear.
