Hochiki CHQ-DZMDINSCI-IS Intrinsically Safe Dual Zone Monitor DIN Module with SCIModel CHQ-DZMDINSCI-IS is Dual Zone Module which is fully compatible with Hochikis ESP analogue addressable protocol and I.S. equipment. It is supplied as a DIN Rail mountable module a boxed version is also available. Addressing is achieved via simple DIL switches.The device is designed to allow up to 40 20 per zone Conventional I.S. CDX Range detectors SLR-E-IS or DCD-1E-IS in the hazardous area to be interfaced to Hochikis ESP analogue addressable system within the safe area.The conventional zones on the CHQ-DZMDINSCI-IS do not support any line continuity options therefore if Call Points are being interfaced they should be wired at the beginning of the zone.Key FeaturesSingle loop addressRequires an auxiliary 24 V dc supplySupports two independent zones of Hochiki I.S. Hochiki MBB-2 Ivory Marine Mounting Back Box with GlandsThe approved design of the MBB-2 provides a splash-proof secure fixing for the Hochiki CDX and ESP Marine Approved Range of Detectors and their associated Bases. It can be installed on a variety of different fixing surfaces and because it has been manufactured to match the colour of Hochikis range of products it provides an aesthetically pleasing solution where surface fixed devices are required.The housing supports four 20 mm glanded entries for zone or loop cabling access. It is also supplied with base fixing screws and two cable glands specifically designed to provide protection against water ingress. The detector base fits directly onto the MBB-2 and sits within a slight recess. This provides the accurate fit and the protection against dust and water ingress.
