Catmint are easy to grow provided you find them a sunny or partially shaded spot and a well-drained soil, they will not tolerate heavy soils that are prone to waterlogging. Water regularly during the first season, but once established they are heat and drought tolerant, making them an excellent choice for dry areas of the garden. In spring apply a layer of organic mulch around the planting area, this helps keep the roots cool, retain soil moisture and deter weeds while giving plants the nutrients they need to remain healthy.
