His active research interests include Printed Microwave Circuits Electromagnetic Bandgap Structures Ultra-wideband Antennas Dielectric Resonator Antennas Ambient Microwave Energy Harvesting and Artificial Intelligence Paradigms in Electromagnetics. Dr. Khan has successfully guided three Ph. D. theses and is supervising six Ph. D. students. He has published over 75 research articles in well-indexed journals and in world-renowned conference proceedings. Currently he is executing three funded research projects including two international collaborative SPARC and VAJRA research projects. In September 2020 Dr. Khan has been awarded a prestigious national IETE-Prof SVC Aiya Memorial Award for the year 2020. Yahia M. M. Antar has been a Professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering Royal Military College of Canada since 1990. He served as the Chair of CNC URSI from 1999 to 2008 Commission B from 1993 to 1999 and has a cross appointment at Queen’s University in Kingston. He has authored and co-authored over 250 journal papers several books and chapters in books over 500 refereed conference papers holds several patents has chaired several national and international conferences and has given plenary talks at many conferences. Dr. Antar is a fellow of the Engineering Institute of Canada the Electromagnetic Academy and an International Union of Radio Science (URSI). He was elected by the URSI to the Board as the Vice President in 2008 and in 2014 and to the IEEE AP AdCom in 2009. In 2011 he was appointed as a member of the Canadian Defence Advisory Board (DAB) of the Canadian Department of National Defence. He serves as an Associate Editor for many IEEE and IET Journals and as an IEEE-APS Distinguished Lecturer. Presently he is working as President-Elect for IEEE Antenna and Propagation Society for the year 2020.

In particular it describes the significant role that organizational cultures have played in shaping what is valued by controllers about their work and its role as a filter in enabling or constraining conscious inquiry. The premise of the book is that informal learning is just as important in shaping what people know and value about their work and that this area is frequently overlooked. By using an interpretative research approach the book highlights the ways in which the social structure of work organisation culture and history interweaves with learning work to guide and shape what is regarded by controllers as important and what is not. It demonstrates how this social construction is quite different from a top-down corporate culture approach. Technological and organizational reform is leading to changes in work practice and to changes in relationships between workers within the organization. These structures are ideal candidates for very large-scale integrated (VLSI) photonic circuits since they provide a wide range of optical signal processing functions while being ultra-compact. Soliton pulses have sufficient stability for preservation of their shape and velocity. Technological progress in fields such as tunable narrow band laser systems multiple transmission and MRR systems constitute a base for the development of new transmission techniques. Controlling the speed of a light signal has many potential applications in fiber optic communication and quantum computing. The slow light effect has many important applications and is a key technology for all optical networks such as optical signal processing. Generation of slow light in MRRs is based on the nonlinear optical fibers. Slow light can be generated within the micro-ring devices which will be able to be used with the mobile telephone. Therefore the message can be kept encrypted via quantum cryptography. Thus perfect security in a mobile telephone network is plausible.
