The narrow width of the Alerta MoveAssist ensures that a carer can easily manoeuvre through most standard doorways. As standard the Alerta MoveAssist comes with 4 durable castors to maximise manoeuvrability and allows users to be transferred with utmost ease, the two rear wheels are fitted with brakes for optimum security and stability during transfers. The padded split seats swing out allowing the user to stand up and board the unit. The care provider then flips the split seats back into place to form a secure and comfortable seat for the user to sit on for the remainder of the transfer. For additional stability, the legs on the Alerta MoveAssist can be easily spread by means of a simple push down pedal. When transferring from room to room the Alerta MoveAssist allows the user to actively participate in the transfer, therefore, helping to improve muscle tone by having their legs supported by the knee brace and they can hold on to the horizontal bar in front of them, this also provides the carer with a safe solution when transferring. The Alerta Sensaflex Heel Slope Mattresses are purposefully designed for those patients considered to be at a very high risk of developing pressure sores. Highly versatile, these Sensaflex Mattress are perfect for use within all hospital, nursing and care home environments. These Mattresses boast a memory foam filling with a high-density base, a memory foam top and a sloping heel section with gel-infused memory foam, therefore, ensuring ultimate levels of comfort and pressure relief. For enhanced pressure-relieving properties, the mattress is designed with a section of v-cut base foam which creates additional air movement. The 5000 option of the Sensaflex Mattress has an additional built-in side wedge support that prevents the user from rolling over the edge of the mattress, reducing risk of falling out of bed. Also provides anti-entrapment by preventing users limbs from becoming trapped in side rails. For maximum hygiene purposes, the cover on the Mattress can be laundered in a washing machine, up to 65˚C for no less than 10 minutes or 95˚C for no less than 3 minutes. The cover can be tumble dried on low heat and the temperature must not exceed 60˚C. The foam can be autoclaved at 134˚C.
