A classic isometric RPG set in a dystopian enviroment allowing you to fight enemies, explore the hostile wasteland, level up your character and join one of the forces in the ruined world that survived through the horrific Incident, isolated from the rest of the world. Start the game in one of the five divisions of the CRONUS Corporation — Wings, each with its own features, mechanics, and game options. Story The story of Encased takes place in an alternate reality and centers around a mysterious structure called the Dome. The indestructible object hides valuable items and unknown technologies, as well as artificial intelligence systems, anomalies and traps awaiting potential explorers. The study of the dome is carried out by the CRONUS Foundation - an international organization which, thanks to its findings, has gained a huge influence on world leaders. For a long time, the foundation sent numerous expeditions to more and more corners of the Dome, without sharing its knowledge with anyone else. However, when the organization's machinations lead to a nuclear conflict and contact with the outside world is severed, its members are forced to create their own civilization on the ruins of the old one. Worse, the explorers have awakened a mysterious force that is wreaking havoc throughout the Dome. Gameplay The gameplay of Encased draws handfuls from classic turn-based RPGs. At the beginning of the game, we create our own hero, deciding on his appearance, attributes and skills. Then we get to the open world, viewed from an isometric perspective and composed of 170 sectors, which we can explore almost without limitations. During the game, we perform missions, both those related to the main storyline, and side tasks, which allows you to gain experience points necessary for the development of our character. We also come across random events, not typical bandit attacks on the hero, but separate stories in the post-apocalyptic world of Encased . Although we form a team of explorers as the game progresses, we directly control only our own character. During turn-based skirmishes on boards divided into fields, we determine the tactics and general behavior of midfielders (for which we use action points), but the artificial intelligence system is responsible for the specific actions of our allies. As a result, battles can take an unexpected or even amusing turn. The fight is diversified by special abilities and various types of ammunition, as well as the possibility of using elements of the environment as cover. The developers of Encased have also put at our disposal a large arsenal of weapons that can be upgraded or taken apart.
