Wolfenstein: Youngblood is another part of the cult series of dynamic FPSs, which started the genre of first-person shooters, and the fourth installment of the Wolfenstein series by the Swedish studio MachineGames. Youngblood does not repeat the formula of a linear single-player shootout from its predecessors, instead serving a gameplay dedicated mainly to playing in cooperation with a friend.  In Wolfenstein: Youngblood we are moving several decades forward since the events of The New Colossus. The legendary hero of the previous parts, B. J. Blazkowicz, disappeared without a trace, but his daughters, the twins Jessica and Sophie, took over. Playing them, we land in Paris taken over by the Third Reich in the 1980s, where our main task is to support the local resistance movement in the fight against the occupier. The main villain in Wolfenstein: Youngblood is the German general Lothar - stopping him is an important element of the game.  Compared to the previous parts prepared by MachineGames, the story in Wolfenstein: Youngblood has been pushed to the background. However, all the highlights of the game are still shown in the cutscenes. During the game, we can also get to know some members of the Paris resistance movement, as well as accept side orders from them.

Doom Eternal develops the formula from the previous part and focuses primarily on even faster action. New movement skills help us in this, such as quick dodge (dash) or climbing, as well as gadgets mounted on the hero's armor and weapons. We have, for example, a flamethrower on the arm and a hook with a chain mounted in the shotgun. Killing weakened opponents, the so-called glory kills, has been updated with new animations and is the main method of restoring health. In this way, the authors made sure that only staying in motion and staying not too far from the opponents would allow them to achieve triumphs. In addition, the ammunition is supplemented by using a chainsaw, and armor is obtained by setting demons on fire with the aforementioned flamethrower. New to Doom from 2016 is a greater emphasis on environmental puzzles and platform challenges. Often getting from point A to point B can cause the player no less trouble than winning the battle with the demons. The number of secrets to find and other side activities has also increased, thanks to which the fun does not end with defeating the last boss (reaching him, by the way, takes about 15 hours).

Tamriel's throne remained empty. As you know, such a situation is highly unfavorable for any country, as it promotes the spread of anarchy, and in this particular case, it has even worse implications. Namely, when the Tamriel Empire does not have a ruler, the gate to Oblivion (the equivalent of the hell we know) is open, allowing all sorts of filthy beasts to break free. It is not hard to guess that the world is threatened by a great cataclysm and that no one else but the player must prevent it. His task is to find the rightful heir to the throne and bring him to rule over Tamriel. Gameplay and characters The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion GOTY is characterized by a very large freedom in making decisions. Speech incl. about creating the character of our hero, traveling around the game world, completing thousands of side quests, or the main mission itself. We can become both a powerful warrior, magician, sorcerer, healer or thief. Nothing prevents you from belonging to different guilds or factions at the same time and from advancing in their ranks. What we do, our decisions and actions affect both the character we run and the environment. The game world is inhabited by nearly 1,000 NPC characters who make independent choices based on their personality, place where they are and remembered effects of previous interactions with other people. And all this is thanks to a special artificial intelligence system "Radiant".   For example Mehrunes Dagon. Enemy of every living race in the Oblivion. He believes that he is in fact the true ruler of the entire world. And he tries to prove it to everyone. Then, there is Azura. One of Daedic princes, who rules over the sphere of transition. The only Daedric lord, who somehow can be considered a decent person. Then, you are going to meet probably the most annoying character in the history of video games. The character progression system is similar to the one from Morrowind.  Your skills are rising when you do certain things. However the combat system is much more complex and interesting, especially within the context of magic. User interface was also changed. Now it is much easier to navigate through items. In general you are going to notice development in most aspects of the game. 2K Games focused on the development of a complex and polished game and you can see that. Not without a reason, Oblivion is considered as one of the best RPG games, ever created. Story and the plot The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion GOTY  story starts six years after the events of Morrowind. The emperor Uriel Septim VII was killed by assassins. However, before he died he handed the amulet of kings to the most random person in Tamriel. A simple prisoner. The amulet is a really powerful artifact and Septim (played by Patrick Stewart) asks the prisoner to shut down the jaws of Oblivion. The prisoner is you and with this cryptic information from the emperor, you start your adventure. Similar to Morrowind you are not provided with a direction, where you should go. It is entirely up to you what you are going to do.  You can focus on your main quest or not give a damn about it at all. You can become a mage, thief or anyone you wish or want. In general, you can spend dozens of hours in Oblivion and not touch the main story at all. The side quests by themselves might provide you with so much fun, that you won't even think about the main storyline of the game itself. You can also explore the entire, huge world of Oblivion, filled with interesting things to find.   Receptions and awards from game industry The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion GOTYs had a huge marketing campaign before it was released. Hence, many players might wonder if the game was really capable of providing them with as much excitement as they might expect. Remember that Oblivion gained the Game of the Year Award in 2006. Together with all DLC's it is as many people put it, an ultimate gaming experience. The team was once again headed by the legendary designer Shinji Mikami, the father of such series as Dino Crisis, Devil May Cry, Onimusha and Resident Evil. Story The Evil Within 2  main character is detective Sebastian Castellanos, known from the first part, who after the death of his daughter Lily falls into alcoholism and depression. However, he soon discovers that his child did not die in a house fire, but was kidnapped. So he sets off on a journey to the seemingly idyllic town of Union. This is where a new alternate reality was created using the hero's daughter. In order to regain it, Sebastian must leave the real world and go on a journey to a nightmarish dimension, constructed by the Mobius group. Gameplay The Evil Within 2 focuses on exploration, survival and resource management. Depending on the difficulty you choose, your resources may be very limited, each bullet counts. Play very carefully and try not facing grotesque zombies. The game features three difficulty modes. Casual mode is recommended by producer Shinji Mikami. Survival and Nightmare are perfect scenarios for players who enjoy the difficulty curve in the previous game.  The Evil Within 2 features maps that are semi-open and large. Feel free to explore the entire area of each map. Complete numerous side missions and find valuable resources. Face your enemies directly using weapons such as pistols, or use stealth/hide to avoid being noticed by enemies and kill them silently.  The Evil Within 2 also features an advanced crafting system in which you can gather resources to create new objects, such as ammunition. Enjoy a complex personalization system. The Green Gel, introduced in the first game, can be used to customize Sebastian's skills, which are divided into five different trees: health, stealth, combat, recovery and athletics. Improve your weapons with the pieces collected during the Union exploration. In the prologue, we have to choose whether we want to start the game as a young ruler or whether we want to jump back into the shoes of the protagonist from the first Dishonored - Corvo Attano. Although the story is roughly the same for both characters (the discrepancies are really small), the decision is so important that it cannot be changed - the other hero is imprisoned in Dunwall, and you can play him only on the next approach to the campaign .
