Whitley Neill Black Cherry Gin 70cl

Whitley Neill Black Cherry Gin 70cl

Whitley Neill Black Cherry Gin All of the Whitley Neill gins are created by an award winning distiller (Johnny Neill), who comes from a family with a long history of creating spirits dating back to 1762. It's easy to see why Whitley Neill has earned its place as the UK’s number one premium gin range. Just like the original Whitley Neill gin, their Black Cherry gin is Inspired by his family’s adventurous spirit. He didn’t want to just pay tribute to his family’s distilling heritage though, but also pay homage to the beauty of his wife’s African homeland. Their Black Cherry gin is inspired by the South African Cherry orchards, and is infused with the juice from the succulent black cherries. The full list of botanicals used in its creation is: Juniper Berries, Coriander Seed, Cassia Bark, Orris Root, Angelica Root, Orange Peel, Lemon Peel, Liquorice Root and the delicious Black Cherries. The result is inticing deep red colour, with the welcoming aroma of cherries. This is followed by almonds and a hint of chocolate. The palate doesn't dissappoint with the cherry flavours also developing in the mouth giving a rich and full flavour. Perfectly balanced, there is a sweetness from the fruits, which lead to a slight tartness at the finish which refreshes the palate perfectly. More from Whitley Neill Perfect Serve Truly versatile, we found this easy to enjoy neat over ice. However for a really fruity Gin & Tonic, this certainly doesnt disappoint! Take a large glass and fill with ice. Pour in 50ml of the gin, and then fill the glass with your preferred tonic. We recommend a neutral tonic here, such as Thomas Henry Tonic Water. Stir gently, and garnish with a cocktail cherry or two. (If you like your drinks on the the sweeter side, you can also add in a spoonful of the syrup from the cherries).

Filliers Dry Gin 28 Pink (Mini) 5cl

Filliers Dry Gin 28 Pink (Mini) 5cl

Filliers Dry Gin 28 Pink Distilling for over five generations, the Filliers distillery was initially only a side venture to their farming business. It's this history, dating from 1880 that ensures Filliers create delicious and well loved drinks. They do as much on-site as they can. They pump their own spring water, gind the grain, create their own fruit and herb distillates, ferment, distill and age. Utilising this experience, in 2018 Filliers expanded their range of gins, and introduced their Pink gin. This uses their Filliers Dry Gin 28 as a base, and is enhanced and softened with the addition of fresh raspberries and goji berries. The Goji berry has a reputation as a superfood, and is said to repair muscles, protect against illness and most important of all, to calm your soul. Whilst we can't attest to any of these benefits by drinking their gin, we do know it adds a delicious flavour! The addition of raspberry juice blends with the goji berries and vanilla from the original recipe. It provides a delicious and engaging palette of fruity flavours, as well as ensuring a delightfully fresh pink colour. Overall this is a mildy spiced gin with a touch of sweetness which is given by the raspberries. The refreshing citrus elements in the original recipe are still noticeable, and blend perfectly with the fruitiness. More from Filliers Perfect Serve This works deliciously in a pink gin & tonic. In a large glass filled with ice add 50ml of the gin and top up with 150ml of your tonic of choice. Garnish with a couple of fresh (or frozen) raspberries and a sprig of mint.

Ardbeg An OA Single Malt Scotch Whisky 70cl

Ardbeg An OA Single Malt Scotch Whisky 70cl

Ardbeg An OA Single Malt Scotch Whisky The Ardbeg distillery is located on the south side of the Isle of Islay, in the small settlement of Ardbeg from which it takes its name. It has been producing whisky since 1798, but only began commercial production in 1815. Having changed ownership over the years, it is now owned by the LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy) group. It is renowned for producing a heavily peated Islay Whisky. The distillery themselves state "Ardbeg Ten Years Old is revered around the world as the peatiest, smokiest, most complex single malt of them all". They use malted barley which is sourced from the maltings in Port Ellen (also on the Island of Islay). Interesting Fact: The brand name Ardbeg is an anglicisation of 'An Àird Bheag' which is Scottic Gaelic, and means 'The Small Promontory'. The inspiration for Ardbeg An OA comes from the Mull of Oa. Gepgraphically, the Distillery is sheltered from the harshest excesses of the mighty Atlantic by the Mull of Oa. This is a rounded peninsula in the south of Islay.  It got its name from the use of the distillery's newly-established Gathering Vat. Within this vat, Ardbeg gather whiskies from several different cask types. These include sweet Pedro Ximenez; spicy Virgin charred oak; and intense ex-bourbon casks (as well as others). Within the vat these blend perfectly, resulting in a whisky with smoky power, mellowed by a delectable, smooth sweetness. The result is a whisky with a light gold colour. On the nose this is sweet and creamy, with butterscotch, tobacco, fennel and boiled sweets all coming through. Citrus is present, but more subtle.  The hallmark Ardbeg peat is definitely here, in the flavour - but slightly more mellow (still definitely a peaty whisky though). Dark chocolate and aniseed are wrapped in smooth, silky butterscotch, black pepper and clove, before rising to an intense crescendo of flavour The finish is lingering and seductive. Whilst it has an intensity, somehow this remains gentle, with flavours of aniseed, hickory and distant subtle smoke. More from Ardbeg Perfect Serve We liked this with a simple drop of water to it, served at room temperature, However, as with all whisky, enjoy it how you like!

Citadelle Gin (Mini) 5cl

Citadelle Gin (Mini) 5cl

Citadelle Gin Mini Since 1996, Château de Bonbonnet in the southwest of France has been the home of Citadelle Gin. Citadelle is proud of its geographic location, and from this they take inspiration. Thie aim was to distill the essence of their region into one perfectly crisp spirit. It takes time to make Citadelle gin. There are 19 botanicals that make up Citadelle. These are infused, depending on their flavour profile, for between one and four days. This is crucial so that Citadelle can acquire its full flavour profile. After this, it is then distilled in small copper stills over open flames in order to develop its suppleness and full rounded character in the mouth. Citadelle Gin exudes subtle aromas of fresh flowers which are highlighted by more assertive citric scents. In the glass, it emanates more intense, herbaceous notes of juniper and anise; which is then followed by the spicy cinnamon side which softens the nose. This brings a very gourmand dimension to the gin. On the palate, the juniper is forward, but cedes to a long, voluptuous, spicy fragrance. There are three distinct traits within Citadelle which offers its complete aromatic richness. Juniper its signature. It doesn't hide from the fact its a gin, and juniper forms the key base of Citadelle. This is joined with citrus - this is a complementary note that underlines the juniper. Then there follows the exotic - this offers an additional level of enjoyment with touches of pepper, nutmeg and cinnamon, which gives Citadelle its delicate spiciness. Overall its a beautifully balanced gin. Elegant, soft and and long in the mouth, definitely a taste of summer France in a bottle. Read more about Citadelle Perfect Serve To enhance the flavours in this gin, we recommend serving with Fever-Tree Inadian Tonic Water or Fever-Tree Elderflower Tonic Water. Serve with plenty of ice, 50ml of the gin, and 150ml of the tonic. Finish off your gin tonic with a garnish of a lemon slice.

Glendalough Double Barrel Irish Whiskey 70cl

Glendalough Double Barrel Irish Whiskey 70cl

Glendalough Double Barrel Irish Whiskey Created by a group of friends who came from County Wicklow and Dublin, The Glendalough Distilley was born of a passion to revive the heritage of craft distilling in Ireland. Glendalough itself is one of the most picturesque and visited valleys in Ireland. It is situated in County Wicklow, just south of Dublin within the Wicklow mountains. Whilst this is a beautifully complex whiskey, it's also light and easily drinkable. The double barrel reference comes from the Single Grain whiskey being twice aged in barrels from either side of the Atlantic ocean, each giving distinct flavour notes. The first barrels are American Oak Bourbon Barrels. These bring notes of vanilla, and sweet honey. These are the base flavours on this whiskey. The second barrels are Spanish Oak Oloroso barrels, which come from the small Andalisian town of Montilla (which is famous for the PX grape). This spanish oak adds layers of nuttiness, and dried fruits. On the nose there is a rich aroma, with dark fruits coming through - almost reminiscent of rich dried fruit puddings. This is joined by a delicate floral note, lemongrass, a hint of citrus and a touch of nutmeg. On the palate this is a delicious sweet and smooth flavour. Butterscotch, brown sugar and honey blend perfectly into dried fruits, a hint of peppercorns and maraschino cherries. The finish is of ginger spice, hints of almond and it ends grounded with a perfect earthiness. Fun Fact: The monk with his arms raised, seen on all Glendalough's bottles, is St. Kevin of Glendalough. An Irish legend, originally born of Irish Royalty who was said to have lived over 1400 years ago.  More from Glendalough Distillery Perfect Serve We love the flavours this whiskey brings, due to its double ageing. Enjoy this simply, on its own, over a little ice or with (just a splash) of water.

Filliers Premium Grain Vodka Wild Strawberry 50cl

Filliers Premium Grain Vodka Wild Strawberry 50cl

Filliers Premium Grain Vodka Wild Strawberry Distilling for over five generations, the Filliers distillery was initially only a side venture to their farming venture. It's this history, dating from 1880 that ensures Filliers create delicious and well loved drinks. They do as much on-site as they can. They pump their own spring water, gind the grain, create their own fruit and herb distillates, ferment, distill and age. In 2006 Filliers acquired a local brand called 'Van Hoorebeke'. At that this, this was the oldest spirit brand in Belgium and dated back to 1792. They were the creators of the first Belgian Vodka. Combining their experience and the legacy of their acquisition, Filliers Master Distillers created a new triple distilled grain Vodka, which is distilled in Deinze, Belgium.  After creating the original, they also launched two flavoured editions. This, their Wild Strawberry they create using their original grain vodka, and a distillate of Belgian Wild Strawberries. These grow only in Belgian forests, and result in a sweeter, fruity addition to Filliers Vodka range. With its delicate pink colour, this vodka has a unique sweet aroma full of strawberry and cranberry notes. The flavour is also full of sweet, fruity strawberries which are balanced by the pure grain aromas. The drink finishes long and fruity, leaving a dry aftertaste. More from Filliers Perfect Serve As with the original this is really versatile and can easily be used in the mix or to savour and enjoy, pure on the rocks. For something delicious try a Wild Strawberry Cosmo Cocktail. Chill a martini glass by filling with some crushed ice. Whilst cooling, take a cocktail shaker filled with ice and add 50ml of the strawberry vodka, 30ml of Cointreau, 30ml of cranberry juice, and 20ml of fresh lime juice. Shake well. Due to this, differing flavours are captured and bottled - darker notes and flavours, which fill the senses. This is an ominous dram of aromatic pungency..... "Heavy Vapours will rise". The nose brings intense, pungent and aromatic aromas. Smoky, sweet, with almost farmyard scents, and hints of creosote. A splash of water unlocks dark chocolate cream and more smoke. On the palate there comes a burst of bittersweetness, along with cardamom, peppermint and coffee. Dark chocolate and eucalyptus tantalise the taste buds, which overly the fruity floral notes common at the heart of Ardbeg. Aniseed and cinnamon float delicately across the tongue. The finish remains bold, staying strongly in the palate. More from Ardbeg Perfect Serve Truly unique, we recommend this either neat or with just a splash of water which awakens the heavy vapours
