These are all grown within 20 miles of their home in Chatham, working with known farmers. Their Column Malt Whisky is one of Britain’s first single malt whisky's to be distilled in a column still. For this they took inspiration from the Japanese and American distilleries. They use 100% Belgravia Barley which is grown at 40 acre field. Their mash has a long fermentation before its initial pot distillation. After this, there is a second distillation in the 10 meter tall column still. This unique column still creates a deliciously smooth, easy drinking whisky. The final stage is ageing in first full American Oak Bourbon Barrels. The resulting whisky has an intruiging balance of flavours. It has an aroma full of Vanilla mousse with candied zest, toffee apple and light oak shavings. Whilst on the palate there is a lingering sweet cream with dried plantain, fresh cut pear and a nutty, peppery finish. Created by Alexandre Marnier-Lapostolle in 1880, it has a distinct orange flavour. It's created by the blending of cognac brandy, distilled essence of bitter orange and sugar. Whilst there are many orange flavoured liqueurs available, but with Grand Marnier there are more complex flavours involved, due to the inclusion of brandy. This (unsurprisingly) means the taste is basically an orange-flavored brandy, but with delicious additional notes of vanilla and oak. It is here, on Scotland's Misty Isle (a local name for the Island) that two brothers, Thomas and Alistair Wilson started the Isle of Skye Distillery. Having both been born and grown up on the island, they are unashamedly proud of their Island, its people and the produce made there. It is due to this that they wanted to create a range of spirits for which they, and the Island could also be proud of. All their Spirits are made in Portree (the largest town on Skye), and use the crystal clear spring wayers from the Storr Lochs nearby. JIN JIJI High Proof Gin JIN JIJI comes from the birthplace of the Gin & Tonic, and from the country that is home to some of the world's most diverse botanicals - India. Derived from the Hindi word Jijivisha, used to descibe 'a lust for life', JIN JIJI captures some of the unique flavours of the country. Hand-crafted in small batches in their distillery in Goa, they use Darjeeling tea and wild Himalayan Juniper alongside local botanicals to capture the heart and soul of India. These botanicals have been used for centuries in Ayurvedic medicine, so think of JIN JIJI as a glass of meditation and mindfulness.  JIN JIJI High Proof Gin packs an explosive punch and was inspired by the British Navy who during Colonial times would transport onyy high proof gin onboard the ships. In case of a spillage, the higher alcohol abv would not affect the gunpowder that it was stored next to.  It contains the same botanicals and has the same great profile as JIN JIJI India Dry Gin, but with the higher abv of 57%, JIN JIJI High Proof Gin (as with other Navy Strength spirits), hold more of the aromatics from the botanicals, resulting in a more complex gin.  More from JIN JIJI Perfect Serve JIN JIJI is perfect for making cocktails as the higher abv adds weight and more intensity to the flavours.
