Luxardo Sambuca dei Cesari
Luxardo Sambuca dei Cesari Luxardo has a long history, which dates back to it's initial founding in 1821 by Girolamo Luxardo. It started in the city of Zadar, Dalmatia which at that time was a part of the Austrian Empire. Fun fact: The anise plant originated in China, and has been used since ancient times for its therapeutic properties. Over the centuries, it has become widely used in the countries of the Mediterranean coast for food, desserts and to flavour drinks. Sambuca is one of the many liqueurs which are anise-flavoured, Luxardo's remains true to their original family recipe. This contains star anise, a blend of herbs and spices, a neutral alcohol base, sugar and pure volcanic water from Luxardo's own spring. More from Luxardo Perfect Serve This is delicious enjoyed neat, over ice - or with a splash of water. For something 'classically' Italian try it with 3 coffee beans for a classic Italian “Sambuca con la mosca”.
