Kahlua Coffee Liqueur The history of Kahlúa goes back to 1936 when Pedro Domecq began producing it in Veracruz, Mexico. Kahlúa is a blend of rum, sugar, and arabica coffee - combinging to create a delicious coffee liqueur. Interesting fact: The name Kahlúa means "House of the Acolhua people" in the Veracruz Nahuatl language It has a coffee like caramel colour, as well as the deep, rich flavour of black coffee joined with an indulgent creaminess of sweet butter. Perfect Serve This is a truly versatile drink, and it can be enjoyed in coffees, cocktails, or simpler as a long refreshing drink with tonic water or lemonade. When it comes to a cocktail, how about trying a classic cocktail like the White Russian, Espresso Martini or Black Russian. Let your imagination run wild! For a White Russian Cocktail, Fill a Rocks glass with ice and add 30ml of Kahlua and 30ml of Vodka (we like it with Absolut). Finish the drink by adding 30ml of thich cream (dairy or plant based).
