Francesca Bianchi The Black Knight is a leather essence for men and women. The Black Knight is a gothic, intense, sophisticated perfume inspired by Giovanni Dalle Bande Nere, Italian Renaissance leader of the Medici family (father of Cosimo the Great). I have always been fascinated by this character for his stoic dedication to his cause, his loyalty and his Spartan lifestyle – despite his noble origins. The perfume tries to recreate the atmosphere of a military camp, with the smell of dry brushwood at the opening, then the smoke of the bonfire and a hint of the horses' harnesses. Evolution takes us deeper into the soul of this severe character, revealing the presence of a secret lover, with a powdery rose rounding the intense heart of vetiver. Contrary to my habits, I did not add any typically animal notes, given that the intensity of the vetiver, together with the leather, already made it extremely strong.
