This perfume was created with Patchouli of the Underworld, as a pair. Two perfumers explore the central note of Patchouli through two lenses of the same story: that of Pluto and his queen Persephone.
In Persephone's Patchouli, the divinity of Persephone is represented, who was free from artifice or evil and her sweet nature and purity of soul was worshiped by gods, goddesses and mankind. Symbol of the primavera and summer, was associated with flowers, harvest, fruit, grain and the beauty and generosity of nature.
Electimuss London Persephone's Patchouli is a fragrance that starts with a fresh and elegant cardamom, lightly intertwined with plum and pomegranate before opening into a heart of Egyptian jasmine, it is a fresh, aromatic, clean patchouli and has a romantic hint of rose. The light woods of sandalwood and cedar combined with a light musk and amber notes make this fragrance light, sensual and very versatile.
The nose, Christian Provenzano, tells us:
“I used the heart of patchouli which is a cleaner note and enriched with musky and amber textures. On top, I added fresh spicy elements, especially Cardamom from Guatemala. I combined the character of patchouli with the floral notes of Bulgarian rose. To enhance the fruity part of the rose, I added a note of plum that also goes well with the warmth of patchouli. For the floral heart, I used jasmine from Egypt for its richness. I added a gourmand touch with honey and coffee. This is rounded off by a creamy facet with notes of sandalwood and blond woods. And of course six pomegranate seeds”.
