Gun Gun Pixies is a colorful combination of a third-person shooter with a three-dimensional platformer. The developer of the title is the Japanese studio Shade with the Bullet Girls series, as well as Compile Heart and Idea Factory, which have been specializing in creating new jRPG games for years, included in several popular series, such as Hyperdimension Neptunia. Gun Gun Pixies was first released on PlayStation Vita, and the remaining versions of the game on other hardware platforms are the port of the original.The main characters of the game are Bee-tan and Kame-pon from outside of Earth. They were sent on a research mission from their home planet Pixie, the aim of which is to study the behavior and habit of ordinary people. This information is intended to help solve social problems plaguing their race. The task is made a bit more difficult by the fact that the protagonists are only a few centimeters tall. During the task, the protagonists target a female student residence, inhabited by five different girls.While playing, we explore all rooms of the dormitory, including five rooms belonging to its tenants. We observe the action from the perspective of a third person. The players 'task is to shoot selected points on the girls' bodies, which, depending on the situation, may, for example, drip, practice yoga or study at the desk. After each volley, missiles are heading our way, which we must avoid. The title also places great emphasis on platforming elements. Players sometimes have to jump between furniture and elements of the environment to get to the target. It also happens that we are forced to sneak when one of the tenants is nearby. Characters must then crouch and try not to draw attention to themselves.
