Downfall is a project carried out almost entirely by Remigiusz Michalski, the founder of the independent Harvester Games studio. The production is distinguished by a mature plot and a large dose of gore elements (blood, nudity, brutal scenes, etc.), which is why it is addressed only to adult players.The main character, Joe Davis, spends his holidays with his wife. Due to the raging storm and the strange behavior of the woman, the couple decide to spend the night in the town of Devonshire. A married couple rents a room in a small hotel called Quiet Haven. The next morning, Joe notices that his wife has disappeared. While searching for it, the protagonist makes more and more terrifying discoveries about the place where he finds himself and its inhabitants ...For most of the game, the player directs Joe's actions, trying to find Ivy and survive the meetings with characters straight from nightmares. The creator of Downfall has prepared a total of over 70 locations that can be visited during the game. As befits an adventure game in a classic edition, the main element of the game is exploring the rooms, talking to NPCs and solving puzzles. The latter are primarily based on items from your inventory that must be found and properly used.Dawnfall is distinguished by a unique visual layer, created as a result of scanning and computer editing of hand-made sketches. The author intentionally tried to blur the lines between dream and reality, thanks to which most of the scenes and events in the game can be interpreted in different ways.
