During the game, we spend most of our time on the world map, dealing with the expansion of the main city and the establishment of specialized colonies, discovering new technologies that increase our combat potential, establishing more or less friendly diplomatic relations with (often conflicting) groups and introducing new doctrines. An important role is also played by turn-based clashes with enemy forces, during which the units we control are moved to a separate board; It is worth noting that thanks to the destructible environment and the extensive possibilities of modifying the arsenal used by our soldiers, the creators managed to expand the range of tactical options. All this means that victory can be achieved here both by conquest and diplomacy, as well as by extermination (after developing appropriate technologies). The action of the game is set in a gloomy, original fantasy land, long after the dark creature known as Kyros defeated the mortal forces, killed the heroes and took control of the whole world, introducing the title tyranny everywhere. The main character is a person who benefited from such a turn of events. We play the role of an officer in Kyros' army, who is a judge and executioner for ordinary people, who makes sure that the will of a despot is carried out. This does not mean that we are forced to play with a psychopath who enjoys murdering innocent people. There is, of course, an option, but an equally effective way to keep the people loyal to Kyros is to establish ruthless but just rule. In addition, the high position of characters on the social ladder means that even small decisions have a significant impact on the situation in the world, shaping the future of the entire universe and its thousands of inhabitants. Tyranna takes less time to complete than Pillars of Eternity, but this time Obsidian put much more emphasis on completing the game multiple times. During the game, we make many more key choices that change the course of events - we can, inter alia, ally with one of the few factions and use them for your own ends.

Our task is to stop his victorious march or join him and take part in the birth of the theocratic empire. The pillars of Age of Wonders: Planetfall - Revelations are two new campaigns in which we visit over thirty previously unavailable locations. In addition, a scenario for seasoned players, called The Cemetery Universe, is waiting to be tested, where you can play both alone and in the company of other people, thanks to a specially prepared quest path. While playing, we have the opportunity to take control of the technology of the Heritor people, which, by sucking the essence of enemies, gives us access to powerful combat abilities, and also allows us to summon additional units and create entropy weapons. In addition, the add-on introduces new opponents, i.e. reapers (machines trying to annihilate every organic creature they meet), megalochs (mutated animals devouring everything that stands in their way) and the Forgotten (a faction of outcasts that do not fit the utopian vision of Heritor society). The list of novelties is closed by previously inaccessible places and mechanisms, such as the Es'Teq well and the Essence geyser, providing our army with new effects and skills, holopad increasing our ability to influence enemies and allies, as well as imperial ramparts that give us an advantage over our opponents (such as Fire Missile Launcher, Cluster Mine Launcher and Soul Lantern). Story In 3025, the galaxy is devastated by the relentless conflict between the aristocratic families that govern entire planets and even sectors of the cosmos. Due to the ban on the use of nuclear weapons and orbital bombardments, powerful combat machines called mechs are used in the fights . The player takes on the role of the commander of a mercenary unit, who is drawn into a brutal, interstellar civil war and helps the deprived queen to regain the throne seized by the usurper. Gameplay The gameplay in BattleTech can be divided into two parts. The first is turn-based clashes, during which we control our pilots and use their machines , weapons, special skills and varied terrain to outsmart the enemy. We most often observe the battlefield from an isometric perspective, but while performing attacks and movements, the camera changes its position (similar to e.g. in the XCOM cycle ). However, for better readability of the battlefield, the tracking options can be turned off, focusing only on the overall view of the battlefield. Managing mercenaries and combat machines and commissioning missions takes place in real time , similar to the above-mentioned series of Firaxis studio. Therefore, it is necessary to closely follow the tables of expenses and revenues, because in extreme cases it may happen that our lance (i.e. a combat squad consisting of four machines) will be grounded and for some time we will not be able to undertake any task (for example if our mechanics fail to repair damaged mechs, which requires both cash and time).
