Space Run Galaxy is the sequel to Space Run, the game from one-man studio Passtech, which seduced hundreds of thousands of players with its dynamic and original gameplay. By twisting the tower-defense game style, Space Run offered an addictive real-time spaceship construction strategy experience. Story
The action of the game takes place in the distant future, twenty years after the events of the previous part. Captain Buck Mann returns in the campaign, specializing in transporting valuable cargo through dangerous regions of the galaxy. During these two decades, his business developed rapidly and now it is a large courier company with an established reputation and regular customers. This time, players have to play the role of one of his employees. We must not only deliver the parcels in one piece, but also do it in the shortest possible time. It is not easy, because the routes run through territories full of enemy troops, pirates and aggressive alien races.
Gameplay
Space Run Galaxy combines elements of the space RTS and tower defense. Before starting each mission, we build the hull of a ship of any shape from hexagonal parts. At its end, we install the engine (at the beginning only one, but with time we will earn extra), and then we place the load on the hull. When we are ready, the ship goes on its way, and we start building additional devices on the free hexes, such as laser turrets, rocket launchers, shield generators and boosters. We use all this not only to repel enemy attacks, but also to eliminate natural threats (e.g. asteroids). After taking off, we have no control over the flight route of the unit, but it is possible to control the weapons and other on-board systems. The game offers a great variety of challenges. In addition to several enemy factions, there are also bosses in the form of giant ships or space monsters. The situation is similar with the transported goods - they have been divided into several categories, and each of them requires different conditions during the journey.
