We have to provide them with food and protect them from wild beasts and monsters (including skeletons, ice dwarves and golems). Achieving all of this requires building a healthy economy that provides our subjects with the necessary raw materials. In the game, we do not give direct orders to our subordinates. Instead, each Viking has its own AI module that shapes its behavior. The player has to influence his charges indirectly by constructing specific buildings and encouraging them to perform specific activities.
