It is the second instalment of the Call of Duty series. The game puts you in the role of four Allied soldiers taking part in various operations during World War II. The events can be experienced from different perspectives, thanks to the presence of three separate campaigns - Soviet, British and American. Storyline Set during World War II, the game's storyline is divided into three separate campaigns - Soviet, British and American - each of which focuses on different historical events. The Soviets begin their campaign during the Battle of Moscow and must defend the city, while the British begin their campaign in North Africa and are tasked with launching a sneak attack on Afrika Korps troops. The American campaign, on the other hand, begins during the famous D-Day and takes the player through other important events, including those involving Hill 400. Gameplay Call of Duty 2 is a first-person shooter game, which means that you will spend most of your time running from point to point to complete your objectives while killing enemy soldiers. It's important to remember that you're not the chosen one, and you'll easily die if you're unaware - if you want to succeed, you'll need to work with other soldiers who can draw enemy fire or lay down cover for you. The game features many historically faithful weapons from World War II. Defeated enemies drop their weapons - you can pick them up and use them, but you can only wield two firearms at a time. Combined with limited ammunition, you are encouraged to use whatever you can find. Groups of enemies can be defeated with fragmentation grenades, and smoke grenades provide tactical cover. If you die before reaching a checkpoint, you will have to start over from the last one. Reception CoD 2 on PC received positive reviews. Critics praised the game for its gorgeous visuals and accurate portrayal of the horrors of war. They also liked the large scale of the conflict and the intelligent AI.
