But you can also let your imagination run wild and experiment with the fabric for skirts and dresses or exciting new trousers and tops. Regardless of what you choose, cotton jersey is a versatile and soft material – and a clear favourite among children and adults. A Bit About the Practicalities This fabric is made of 92% organic cotton and 8% elastane. It has a width of 150 cm, and of course, you decide the length you wish to order. When working with jersey, we recommend using a jersey needle, characterised by its medium point – also known as ball point. The needle easily penetrates the knitted quality and prevents stitches and threads from running. For this type of jersey, we recommend jersey needles in size 70/80. Partly Organic Products with this label contain a minimum of 25% organic content. For example, fabrics with organic cotton mixed with other fibres. We've introduced this label to make it easier for you to identify the proportion of organic material.

This rib fabric is knitted in 2x2, so you get a distinct structure of rib that is both casual and elegant (you can see the structure clearly in the photos). In practical terms, rib is great for the waistband of trousers and the end of sleeves, because the rib hugs the body, while the soft quality is pleasant to wear. A multitude of colours - find your favouriteOf course, you can use ribbed fabric for many different projects. For example, make a simple top in your favourite colour and see how the ribbed texture gives a great finish. Use the same pattern in different colours and create a wardrobe that's ready to jump into. Or make a matching set with leggings and top - the soft quality is unmistakable and the slightly chunky rib gives the perfect look for kids, teens and adults alike. Practical information about this fabricThis rib is made from 48% organic cotton, 47% modal and 5% elastane - a combination that makes it soft and stretchy. The fabric measures 90 cm in width and you buy it by the metre. It shrinks about 4% in the wash, and we recommend that you wash it before cutting and sewing your clothes. So you can be sure you get the best result matching the right size. Please remember to use jersey needles (item no. 46799 or 46028) when sewing in rib fabric. Partially OrganicThe products labelled partially organic have an organic content of at least 25%. This may include organic cotton fabrics mixed with other textiles. We have created this label so that you can easily find out the percentage of organic content.

Viscose + jersey = a new favourite Viscose and jersey are two popular terms within textiles. In this fabric, we combine the two qualities, giving you a light and soft material with good breathability and comfortable stretch.  Colourful designs Whether you prefer black and white, earthy tones or vibrant colours – you'll find the entire colour palette in this fabric. Choose one or more favourites, get out your sewing machine, and sew your new outfit.  The material is suitable for almost all types of clothing, but of course, we have some favourites.  One of them is the classic top. Once you've found the right fit, you can easily change its look by simply choosing a new colour. Or how about making small adjustments in the design, so you have your favourite top with short, ¾, and long sleeves?  The fabric is suitable for much more than classic tops! Use it for dresses, leggings, trousers, and skirts. Find plenty of inspiration in our sewing patterns or design your own favourite.  A bit of practicality Viscose has been used for clothing for over 100 years. The fabric consists of processed and regenerated cellulose from sources like wood pulp or cotton waste. It's similar to natural fibres like cotton and silk. Here, the viscose is mixed with elastane (6%), giving you a stretchable viscose.  You choose the length you need for your sewing project. The fabric measures 145 cm in width and shrinks by 6% when washed.  When working with jersey, we recommend using a jersey needle, characterised by having a medium point – also known as ball point.
