Paper Beast is an exploratory adventure game , developed primarily for virtual reality sets . The independent Pixel Reef studio is behind its creation . I am talking about a company founded by Eric Chahi - a French developer who entered the history of video games with golden letters thanks to the cult Another World , and later co-created such productions as Heart of Darkness or From Dust .
Gameplay
In Paper Beast, the action is shown from the first person perspective ( FPP ). Production gives us a vast world that we can freely explore . The authors do not set any specific goals for us, and wandering between picturesque locations, we can interact with both plants and inanimate objects, as well as with imaginative creatures resembling animals. Interestingly, the behavior of the latter is supervised by an extensive simulation system, thanks to which they can enter into complex relationships both with each other and with the player, reacting lively to the latter's actions (some may even become friends with him).
