Kirton Stirling Chair

Kirton Stirling Chair

The Kirton Stirling Chair is specifically designed for individuals with physical and learning disabilities or frail elderly people. Its primary purpose is to offer exceptional postural support and encourage a healthy, upright sitting position. The chair comes as standard with a Reflextion Foam seat module, providing superior comfort and support, but can also be fitted with the Stirling Intelligent Air Seat Module. The Intelligent Air option is suitable for those at high risk or those with up to Grade IV pressure injuries, following a clinical assessment. Effective pressure management is essential for individuals who sit for extended periods or are vulnerable to tissue damage. The Intelligent Air module sets a new benchmark in seating technology, offering superior pressure redistribution without the need for setup or re-pumping air over time. To maximise pressure-relieving benefits, all contact areas on the Kirton Stirling Chair feature a Dartex fabric. Dartex is a durable, multi-stretch, vapour-permeable fabric that is easy to clean and complements the chair’s pressure relief system. This waterproof material is available in three colour options. The non-contact upholstery is made of vinyl, which is scratch-resistant, water-resistant, and both anti-microbial and anti-fungal, making it ideal for high-use environments. The chair is designed for optimal posture and positioning with a carefully calibrated seat tilt and back angle, combined with lateral support. Its elegant design and attention to detail ensure the Stirling fits seamlessly into a variety of settings. The backrest is angled to reduce strain on the back muscles, with a raised centre that provides support for the head, neck, and shoulders. Discreet, comfortable lateral supports help relieve localised pressure and enhance stability. The chair’s well-padded arms provide support for sitting down and standing up, while its easy manoeuvrability ensures safe movement. Raizer 2 Emergency Lifting Chair

Raizer 2 Emergency Lifting Chair

The Raizer 2 Emergency Lifting Chair is a battery-operated chair that is designed to help a fallen person up to an almost standing position in just a few minutes. This Emergency Lifting Chair is perfect for use in home care, institutions, rescue services and other services requiring a lifting aid and transfer of persons with limited mobility. Ideal for single-carer use it requires only limited physical effort from the operator aside from a helping hand, therefore helping to reduce the strain and effort to minimise the risk of injury. A person who has fallen and cannot get up again is lifted up comfortably to a sitting or almost standing position in a way that supports the entire body throughout the process. The Raizer II can be quickly and easily assembled under a fallen person, and a push of a button on the remote control or the control panel on the side of the seat initiates the lifting process. This, therefore, means that the assistant does not have to carry out a lift and is exposed to no strain on the back or shoulders. All the materials of the Raizer 2 have been carefully selected with special attention to stability and durability and considering both the helper and the fallen person. Raizer II is fitted with safety belts that are to be attached to both backrests to make sure that the fallen person feels safe, secure and comfortable throughout the whole lifting process. When not in use and to allow for easy storage and transportation, the Raizer 2 Emergency Lifting Chair is disassembled and can be carried in two bags (supplied); backrests and legs are carried in a bag with ergonomic carrying straps for hand or back (long strap for shoulders or two straps as a backpack).
