Blue Horizons Kibbled Aluminium Sulphate 25kg 25kg

Blue Horizons Kibbled Aluminium Sulphate 25kg 25kg

Kibbled Aluminium Sulphate sinks unwanted debris to the pool floor creating clear sparkling water. Once the particles have settled on the pool floor they should be vacuumed to waste. Alternatively, dose pre-filter via a tank and pump system to improve filter efficiency. This product should only be used in pools with sand filtration. . Kibbled Aluminium Sulphate, commonly known as alum is a hard crystalline solid or powder that is soluble in water. It contains around 17% alumina (Al2O3). It is manufactured in a simple process from aluminium trihydrate and sulphuric acid. Kibbled Aluminium Sulphate Uses: - Kibbled Aluminium Sulphate is used in water purification. As a mordant in dyeing and printing textiles. In water purification, it causes impurities to coagulate which are removed as the particulate settles to the bottom of the container or more easily filtered. - Kibbled Aluminium Sulphate is sometimes used to reduce the pH of garden soil. The gardener can add Aluminum sulfate to the soil to reduce the pH level which in turn will result in the flowers of the Hydrangea turning a different color (see below). - Kibbled Aluminium Sulphate is the active ingredient of some antiperspirants. - In construction industry it is used as waterproofing agent and accelerator in concrete. - In paper making the alum reacts with rosin sizes of various types, helping to attach the newly formed rosin aluminates to fibres. Sizing makes the paper water resistant. - It is also used in styptic pencils. - It can also be very effective as a molluscide, killing spanish slugs. Kibbled Aluminium Sulphate is considered to be a relatively environmentally friendly treatment for slugs compared to the more toxic conventional products like metaldehyde.(See below - How to use Kibbled Aluminium Sulphate to kill slugs)

Blue Horizons Chlorine Stabiliser Granules 2kg 2kg

Blue Horizons Chlorine Stabiliser Granules 2kg 2kg

Blue Horizons Chlorine Stabiliser Granules is a traditional, granular chlorine donor that is still popular with many pool owners that like dose rate flexibility. These granules are rapid dissolving making prep-dissolving and application easy. The granules have a pH value of about 6.0 - 7.0, which is fairly close to the ideal pool water pH level and so will have little effect on the pH level of your pool water. Another feature of Stabilised Chlorine Granules is that they contain Cyanuric acid (chlorine stabiliser), this can be beneficial for outdoor pools as it reduces the amount of chlorine lost to sunlight - making it easier for you to maintain the correct chlorine level in your pool. Please refer to the Blue Horizons Pool Care guide for further product information in our downloads section. Blue Horizons Rapid Dissolving Chlorine Stabiliser Granules Application Instructions: 1. Maintain pH levels within the ideal range of 7.2 - 7.6. If the level is not in this range, adjust accordingly. 2. Maintain free chlorine residuals routinely in the 1 - 3 mg/l (ppm) range. Shock or oxidising procedures are recommended either weekly or fortnightly with a maximum of 10mg/l (10ppm) for a full shock treatment. 3. Pre-dissolve this product in a clean plastic container at a maximum rate of 100g of product per 2.2 gallons ( 10 litres) of water. Stir well to ensure product is fully dissolved. Blue Horizons Multifunctional 200g Chlorine Tablets a new and improved version of the Maxi-Tab, these tablets still offer an easier way of maintaining chlorine levels and are applied via the skimmer, floating dispenser or chlorine feeder (trichlorinator). They have a higher pH value, which reduces the amount of pH regulation you need to do and as well as being stabilised to reduce chlorine loss to sunlight they also contain clarifier and algaecides to help improve clarity and prevent algae formation. When dosed via the skimmer the tablet(s) will dissolve slowly over a 3 to 4 day period, the rate at which they dissolve will vary depending upon water flow and temperature. They have a high level of available chlorine and contain chlorine stabiliser. Please refer to the Blue Horizons Pool Care guide for further product information in our downloads section. Floating Dispenser: Fill the Trichlor floating dispenser with tablets and adjust the aperture mechanism at the bottom of the dispenser to obtain the 1-3mg/l (ppm) desired range. Blue Horizons Ultimate Multi-functional Floating Dispenser 1500g Each

Blue Horizons Ultimate Multi-functional Floating Dispenser 1500g Each

Blue Horizons Ultimate Multifunctional Floating Dispenser 1500g is perfect for large above ground pools or in-ground swimming pools. Specifically recommended for pools between 5,000 gallons (22,700 litres) and 15,000 gallons (68,175 litres). As a guide, an 18ft round pool that is 48 inches deep contains 4661 Gallons (21,182 litres). The dispenser comes fully loaded with chlorine - so there is no need to touch any chemicals in the process, simply place into your swimming pool and let the dispenser do the work! Comes loaded with: - Sanitiser (Chlorine), to keep the water disinfected from bacteria. - Clarifier, to keep the water sparkling clean and improve water clarity. - Algaecide, to prevent algae in the long term, alongside the sanitiser. - Sun Stabiliser, to protect sanitiser (chlorine) levels from the sun. Feactures - Blue Horizons Fully Loaded Floating Chlorine Dispenser 1.5kg for Swimming Pools - Recommended for pools between 5,000 gallons (22,700 litres) and 15,000 gallons (68,175 litres). - The built in chlorine slowly erodes over a period of 3-5 weeks. - See 'directions for use' for more detailed usage guidance. Diirections of Use: Prior to using this product, ensure PH level is in the ideal range of 7.2 to 7.6. You may need to shock dose before use to establish a chlorine level in the water quickly. You can use Sodium Hypochlorite (liquid chlorine) or Calcium Hypochlorite to achieve this. Ideal for pools up to 5,000 gallons (22,700 Litres). Remove the two perforated sections of the label marked with 'tear here' and also remove the two security seals. To choose your setting and therefore the rate that the dispenser will dissolve in the pool. As a guide (only) use the x small setting for pools up to 3,000 gallons and small setting for pools above 3,000 gallons. If Free Chlorine levels are outside the desired 1-3mg/l (ppm) range - either too high or too low then adjust the base to expose to more chlorine or less. This is only a guide, as a number of factors affect chlorine level including bather load, weather, rain etc. Place the dispenser in an upright position in the pool and hold for a few seconds until the cartridge fills with water then release to float on the pool surface. Do not submerge the dispenser completely or block the vent holes. The dispenser will tip over when spent. A tilting dispenser at a 45 degree angle is an indication of imminent replacement required and sanitiser output diminishing. When removing the spent dispenser, cut open the base and place remianing tablets in the weir or skimmer basket. Blue Horizons Ultimate Multifunctional Floating Dispenser General Precautions Dosing - Wear eye and face protection and ensure granules are not blown back into your face. - Never mix with other chemicals including household cleaners as a dangerous reaction may occur. - When pre-dissolving always add product to water and not vice versa. Handling/Storage - Handle products in a well ventilated area - preferably outdoors. - Wash hands after use. - Ensure chemicals do not become damp in storage - store in a cool dry place.
