In the inner bosom of my conscience, I sowed the divine seeds of Your goodness. Day and night I tended them; but when they were already sprouting their tender leaves, the scorching sun of my desires and the wind of my restless thoughts of the past and of the future burned their leaves and scattered Your work in me.
