According to specialists, prenatal care is an important element in women's and newborns' health care, since it is essential for the detection and treatment of morbidities in the gravidic-puerperal cycle, avoiding worsening the health of pregnant and postpartum women and/or newborns. Prenatal care is, therefore, an important tool for the reduction of maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality rates.
