Flight Mustang Tenor Electro Ukulele (Active Pickup) : w/bag

Flight Mustang Tenor Electro Ukulele (Active Pickup) : w/bag

Warning: wild and free, only to be handled by true thrill seekers!  The Flight Mustang is a tenor-sized, all solid acacia ukulele.  It is packed with unique features: intricately designed side sound hole, scalloped cutaway, offset dots on an acacia fretboard, D’Addario strings, pickup, and a unique and captivating headstock.  It’s not just a ukulele…it’s a Mustang. Tradition meets innovation Highest-grade acacia The Flight Mustang is made from all solid acacia.  Acacia is a wood that has a long heritage in ukulele building for its punch, volume and tone. For the Royal series we chose only the highest-grade acacia which sounds as stunning as it looks. Mustang has a reddish shade due to a special staining technique, giving it an even more striking look. Be unique Acacia fingerboard At Flight, we like to try and test the latest ideas in instrument building. This has resulted in an acacia fretboard on our Mustang ukulele. We know that the sound of a ukulele depends as much on the woods in its neck and fretboard as the body. The added bonus is that the appearance of the fretboard adds to the wild, uninhibited appearance of the Mustang. To spice it up even further, we decided to add offset fretboard markers, located not in the middle of the fret, but on the side. Infinite sustain String-through bridge String-through bridge is one of the latest ukulele trends. It makes the top resonate better, due to strings being attached directly through the top soundboard, and not to the bridge. Changing the strings might seem a bit confusing at first, but actually it is easier and we are going to upload a tutorial on our Youtube channel really soon. D’Addario strings have recently been rising in popularity and after lots of tests we decided to feature them on our Royal series.   Real temptation Stylish cutaway The scalloped cutaway was a real hit in our Victoria ukulele and it was a no brainer to repeat it in Mustang and Spirit. This intelligent design allows for playing up the frets but without the compromise on volume and tone that many full cutaways inflict. It also showcases the absolute craftsmanship and mastery of our luthier. Project Yourself Unique side sound port Why let everyone else hear how wonderful your ukulele sounds and not gain the benefit yourself? At Flight we realized that you can hear the full tone and volume of our ukuleles by introducing a sound port at the top of the instrument. We also feel it contributes to the quality of the sound as a whole. Some people aren’t a fan of the appearance of a side sound port which is why we have created an intricate design that gives you all the benefits of a normal sound port whilst maintaining a solid appearance to the structure. A Fresh, New Look. Bold and striking We wanted our new headstock to be bold and striking, infusing innovation into all the benefits of a slotted headstock. Its round, airy shape not only looks amazing, it also makes the headstock lighter than most. You will certainly be turning heads with this one. Symphony Nr. 3 Urban Landscapes Op. 55 : for Wind Orchestra, World Set (no ESS)

Fascinated by the beauty of Chicago, Franco Cesarini has translated his emotions into music: this is how Symphony No. 3 “Urban Landscapes” Op. 55, was born, a musical portrait of this metropolis overlooking Lake Michigan. The composition is divided into three movements: The Wrigley Building from Dawn to Noon, Blue Silhouette and Cloud Gates, which by sharing the same thematic material arranged in cyclical form, strengthen the overall cohesion of the piece. The first movement, preceded by a short slow introduction in which the main theme is presented in an almost dreamlike form, metaphorically represents the city at dawn. The sudden change of time symbolizes the start of activities with all its noises and sounds: you can hear the bell that announces the closing of the subway doors, the sound of cars speeding by, the siren of a patrol car. If the first movement represents the day, the second introduces a nocturnal environment: a melancholic melody played by the English horn anticipates a more animated tempo depicting melodies coming from jazz clubs. Powerful fanfares that take up the second theme of the first movement introduce the third movement. In this finale, the role of the two themes is reversed compared to the first movement and one takes the place of the other in a kind of games of mirrors. Symphony No. 3 “Urban Landscapes” Op. 55: a sumptuous musical portrait of the “Windy City”.

Pagliacci : Masterpieces of Italian Opera

Pagliacci : Masterpieces of Italian Opera

The verismo opera Pagliacci by Ruggero Leoncavallo is the first work in Bärenreiter's new series “Masterpieces of Italian Opera” (MIO). Pagliacci, which was Leoncavallo's most successful work, has remained an integral part of opera literature up until today. The role of Canio the tragic clown helped many singers achieve successful performances and iconic interpretations. The new edition of Pagliacci, edited by Andreas Giger, is the first to follow clear editorial guidelines, documenting all amendments of the musical text in a Critical Commentary. It presents the opera in two versions, both of which were regarded as complete in their time: The version Leoncavallo presented to the Italian publisher Sonzogno (one act, without Prologue and Intermezzo) and the “final version” (two acts with Prologue and Intermezzo), the conception of which was influenced by Victor Maurel, Sonzogno, as well as the experiences collected during the first series of performances. The new edition follows the autograph score of the composer as closely as current opera practice allows, correcting erroneous pitches, adjusting articulation markings, slurs, and offering dynamic marks that were not included in previous editions. Additionally, instrumentation issues have been addressed. There are several secondary sources for Pagliacci that offer a substantial amount of performance suggestions, not all of which can be attributed to Leoncavallo with certainty. While previous editions mostly include these instructions, they have only been adapted into this edition as demanded by musical logic, in cases where they can be attributed to the composer with certainty, and based on practical value (such as metronome markings or puntature). In all cases, they have been offset typographically from autograph markings. An important secondary source, namely a copy of the first printed score, contains corrections in the composer's hand. Bärenreiter's new edition is the first to offer this valuable information to performers and scholars. The libretto for Pagliacci was written by Leoncavallo himself. Regarding vocal text and stage directions, the new edition follows the autograph as well as secondary sources authorized by Leoncavallo. As a result of clearly stated editorial guidelines and their execution, this new edition of Pagliacci offers a consistent score that closely follows Leoncavallo's intentions. The verismo opera Pagliacci by Ruggero Leoncavallo is the first work in Bärenreiter's new series “Masterpieces of Italian Opera” (MIO).
