Story
The action of the game was set in the 1930s. The main character is James Lee Quatermain (descendant of Allan Quatermain), an adventurous and famous treasure hunter who is not afraid of any dangers. Following the trail of ancient secrets, he visits a number of locations scattered around the world - from a lost temple in the middle of the Amazon jungle, through the dark corridors of the Egyptian pyramids and the ruins of the majestic Petra, to the icy tombs of the Arctic. The goal of the traveler is a mysterious artifact that supposedly ensures immortality - unfortunately, he is also hunted by the Russians and the Nazis.
Gameplay
From the gameplay side, Deadfall Adventures tries to combine several ideas: dynamic shootings, exploration and puzzle-solving. In the first case, we get a fairly typical shooter with a rich arsenal (over 30 types of weapons) and the possibility of using environmental traps in the action. Exploration comes down to searching levels for treasures that act as skill points that can be distributed in specially prepared places. To get many of them, you need to solve the aforementioned puzzles, created by ancient peoples. The puzzles are designed not to be too difficult.
