The title is a spin-off of the legendary Jagged Alliance series. The series was born in 1996 and has had many hits, as well as side titles. After the bankruptcy of bitComposer games in 2014, which was responsible for the development of the brand, the rights to it were taken over by the Swedish company THQ Nordic (Nordic Games). Jagged Alliance Action: Rage! takes place twenty years after the events of the first installment of the series. Gameplay in Jagged Alliance: Rage! was presented in a classic isometric view on three-dimensional and large maps. The turn-based combat system allows you to choose a strategy that suits you and plan each subsequent move. In our unit there are many mercenaries with different life experience, skills and character traits. Ivan Dolvich is a former Red Army major specializing in automatic weapons and strength tasks. Charlene Higgens is a SWAT squad member who is an indispensable sniper. Kyle Simmons, in turn, is a specialist in hidden missions, who uses silent weapons and has amazing reflexes. During the mission, we must make optimal use of the unique skills of the team members. Gameplay he game resembles a two-dimensional platformer in which the emphasis is primarily on combat. During the clashes, we mainly use firearms and we design and then modify its individual types, freely choosing different parts. In this way, we not only influence the strength of the damage dealt, but also the way the projectiles behave, e.g. by equipping them with impressive ricochets or incendiary properties. Many opponents also have different machines and can modify them to a large extent, thus forcing us to frequently change tactics. In Rogue Stormers, the key element is the so-called Arc Connector, which consists of an indestructible, hanging generator that powers players' armor. Thanks to it, characters can increase the effectiveness of their weapons or absorb enemy orbs, and then transform them into energy, causing area damage and stunning a large group of enemies. It also plays a vital role in organizing cooperation between players, allowing them to reinforce each other's attacks. The missions themselves have a more interesting structure than the typical " go to A and kill everything that moves ". Instead, we receive specific tasks, such as sabotaging, freeing a prisoner or performing a murder on a specific opponent. In addition, our successes or failures dynamically affect the situation in the entire city and the shape of subsequent missions.
